    Pros

    1. Challenging work and Great Product 2. Good Management in West Coast

    Cons

    1. Tellabs being a East coast company, they have the old school of thought. Silicon Valley is getting transformed at a rapid pace, and management folks (Execs and CEO) has no clue of whats happening here, and eventually missed the big picture and lost the company as well. 2. The Board sucks big time.

    Advice to Management

    1. Change the Board

    I worked at Tellabs full-time

    Pros

Tellabs had a great reputation in the telecom field for many years. Had a work environment, insurance, benefits and vacation time that helped the work/life balance. Training program was great and learned a lot while there.

    Cons

Once customer started to basically get hardware for free or at a loss with promises of software updates in the future it was all downhill from there. Layoffs started to occur on a quarterly basis and many employees were just looking out for themselves and made the work environment so tense.

    Advice to Management

Never give away hardware at a loss or come up with technology that you can sell at a premium.
