    Pros

It used to be a great company with energy and innovation, and a market leader. There are still some great people working there who were are part of those 'golden years', but a lot have left after the VZ acquisition.

    Cons

It's an integration nightmare, with VZ, Telogis and Fleetmatics. It's a huge distraction and has hurt business growth and direction. Everyone is struggling to figure out their new role, and it's frustrating waiting for the dust to settle. A lot of the top talent has left the company. Nothing much to get excited about.

    Advice to Management

Stop drinking the cool aid and be realistic about the gaps/issues that exist, and empower teams to work on them.

    Pros

Its a part of VZ now, so you will be part of one of the top 10 companies in the world.

    Cons

EVERYTHING! Management is a bunch of uppity friends who are trying to run a business, but rather don't communicate nor do they really want to really work together. Departments work in silos, resources and labor are stretched to the max, there is no work life balance, and as far as the company itself-- it's a total disorganized mess! Their data bases are filled with garbage and their output data integrity is scary bad. Also, dont plan on getting hired based on your merit or past experience. I was told by a VP, "none of you got hired because of your skill or past work history. You got hired because you fit into our culture." What?!?!?

    Advice to Management

Get a CEO that will push the vision and keep everyone in line! Actually work together rather then on DIY projects and waste revenue and time. Good luck

I have been working at Telogis full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Exciting, entrepreneurial/start-up atmosphere, good perks, benefits and leadership team. New leadership team at Verizon is very engaged, energetic and focused on 'world domination' in the connected vehicle and IoT space.

    Cons

Some uncertainty with new org changes post-merger, as well as a need to be flexible and open to change. Skills that most Telogis employees generally have though!

    Advice to Management

Keep the 'start-up' attitude and don't let big company bureaucracy that could potentially come from Verizon squelch creativity and winning attitude.

    Pros

Free snacks; seemingly endless supply of money for over the top meetings and other things that weren't needed

    Cons

You won't make anywhere near the money that's stated. Mgmt disconnected from the field. Salesforce is locked down to the point of being very difficult to use correctly.

    Advice to Management

Run, don't walk, with all the money Verizon just paid you before they actually figure out what they ended up buying!

    Pros

Great work environment, free snacks, lots of freedom to get your work/job done if you are producing

    Cons

The can be a real disconnect between California management and Austin management (or Austin just don't relate that information very well)

    Advice to Management

Have more open lines of communication with employees to gain insight into how things can be ran more smoothly

    Pros

Great technical future, excellent sales training program focused on getting new reps ramped up and productive on enterprise-wide impact of solution.

    Cons

Senior leadership at odds with themselves, poor culture, inability to say thank you, paranoia at the highest level I've seen.
