I have been working at Telos Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Cons

Sometimes hard to get commitment from other teams.

I worked at Telos Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Easy to get in. Laid back and low pressure.

    Cons

    - Run like a family shop. Lots of favoritism and nepotism, people bring in their children, and children of friends to fill open positions.
    - Starting pay is low, relative to similar companies in the area, and raise is meager and rare, even with glowing performance reviews, once every few years, doesn't even keep up with inflation. Benefit package used to be good, but has been steadily going down hill over the years.
    - Virtually no chance of advancing the ladder.
    - Management is barely competent. Some VPs seem pretty clueless.
    - Talented people keep leaving once they get an offer.

    Advice to Management

    - Pay employees better, especially good ones, offer better benefits, and hire competent managers. Reduce nepotism and favoritism.

I have been working at Telos Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Telos has a lot of potential to be a brilliant company and they employ great talent some of whom work very hard. The CEO, for the most part, has a vision. He can sometimes comes across as a used car salesman, but he means well.

    Cons

Leadership needs to change. My SVP once decided to pull up a no parking sign, because he preferred to park his SUV in that area of the boarding dock area. Once replaced, he pulled it up again.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees, offer better wages, improve your infrastructure, and most of all stop tolerating bad behavior.

    Pros

This fantastic internship program lead by the company's CTO reinforces high school and undergraduate age students' technical skills while simultaneously developing their business acumen to invest in a new generation of market-savvy and entrepreneurial STEM engineers.

    Cons

The employees tend to be towards the older end of the spectrum, so the overall atmosphere isn't particularly energetic or youthful.

    Advice to Management

This could be an incredible program for undergraduate CS and Business IT students to come together and learn from each other. In addition, Telos would expose themselves to a wider pool of well-qualified recent graduates for full-time positions. However, the extremely low pay rate strictly caters to a younger population. As a current third year undergraduate student, I have found that the vast majority of internship opportunities applicable to me offer hourly salaries in the $20 to $40 range, before stipends for housing and/or travel.

    Cons

Maybe they could work more on team building exercises or having events for networking with team members outside their project.

    Advice to Management

Just keep doing what you doing
