    Pros

Great People to work with. They are trying to move in the right direction in the US.

    Cons

It is virtually impossible to make rules and regulations globally. With the Corporate office in Europe the US struggles.

    Advice to Management

Keep working to get the US up and running like its own company.

    Pros

Competitive compensation and excellent health insurance / benefits

    Cons

Immature processes and procedures but improvements are in process. Relatively young software which carries the challenges of not having decades of working through the issues.

I have been working at Temenos full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is a review of Temenos USA/North America: Colloborative and friendly work atmosphere. Great benefits including 401(K). Your experience is what you make of it. If you have a strong work ethic it will be noticed by management. Numerous company events such as the yearly holiday party really show how much management values and appreciates each and every employee.

    Cons

Numerous organizational changes can make it confusing to understand who oversees particular departments (however all changes are made public to the company in a timely manner, so this is a small Con). New employee trianing can be improved. At times it can feel that you're being thrown to the wolves so to speak, however employees are always willing to help and teach new hires.

    I worked at Temenos full-time

    Pros

The health insurance plan is fantastic, and the 401k plan is competitive.

    Cons

This place tries to squeeze everything it can out of you. You're treated like a factory worker. Have a doctor's appointment and need to leave early? You'll have to make up that time. In spite of this, overtime is not compensated. They even charge you for the coffee in the break room.

No training is provided, and there are no certification or tuition reimbursements.

Raises are capped at about 3-4%. Most people do not qualify for the full raise.

If you didn't join Akcelerant (acquired by Temenos in 2015) early on, there is no career path. Management is made up entirely by the small group of IT people that was around at the founding of the company. Most are inexperienced and poorly educated.

The company is very unlikely to succeed in North America.

Coworkers are some of the most arrogant and impolite people I've ever met.

    Long hours.

    Advice to Management

Clean house. This business cannot succeed with the group of people that are in charge. Stop promoting developers to management positions, and hire some experienced managers with business acumen.

Also, for the love of God, please stop with the theatrics at

I worked at Temenos full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Amazing co-workers -- some of the nicest people I have ever worked with. Very sad that upper management didn't see the value in the amazing team we had.

-Flexible schedule - you can come and go as you please

    -Very light workload
    -Good medical coverage

    Cons

    -No job security
-Very short sighted and reactionary management
-U.S. Market strategy changes every couple of months.
-No warning before closing down U.S. office. Staff meeting was called at 2pm and everyone was told that it was their last day.
-The T24 software is poorly designed and full of bugs. Even the most simple changes take several days or weeks to complete.

    Advice to Management

T24 needs a massive rewrite. Move development out of Chennai and allow the system to be rewritten by a team that understands object oriented design.

I worked at Temenos full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Product - very flexible & dynamic.
    Very innovative R & D Team.
If you love travel be on the client services.
Option of both short term and long term travel.

    Cons

Few things other companies can learn from Temenos India

    1. Never trust your employees, always think employees are bunch of jokers who have joined your company only to make money.

    2. Do not train them but expect them to deliver.

    3. Indian employees are cheap labor, use them for cheap work.

    4. Put a lengthy hierarchy, so that people on top are really up there.

    5. Never promote any India employees let them die where they are.

    6. Put an internal test certification and endlessly harass employees by not giving hikes even if they work. Make the test so tough that people keep failing in them. The point is to prove that the test is greater than the people.

    7. Find an excuse to give lower ranks and ratings. Just anything is fine.

    8. Don't give pay hikes, just expect people to work without getting married, having kids or growing their families.

    9. Do a survey and make fun of the findings stating these are common problems in all companies.

    10. Do not replace laptops just because they are old (meaning even for 4 years old laptop is not as old as human being). If the laptops are fine and working use the same plastic box.
And claim to the world that your company working on the cutting edge technology.

    11. Don't let the employees out of your sight. Put a mandatory in and out time... doesn't matter whether the employee has work or not, but it is a must to spend 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM in office.

    12. Employees have to come to office even if they have traveled from client locations in the far east or far west... doesn't matter.

    13. Don't allow people to get regional transfers, go to any length to block it. In the first place don't even give the opportunity.

    14. Include superannuation in CTC but put a clause that the employee has to complete 1 or 2 decades before company starts to contribute.

    15. Include a bonus component in the CTC and never give, then give a reason for not paying... there are so many of them above.

    16. Keep acquiring companies globally and give that as the reason for not paying bonus.

    17. If the employee is good don't give pay hikes or bonus, rather send them onsite and expect to eat grass and save perdiems.

    18. Never revise perdiems; doesn't matter the country your employees are visiting has high or low inflation.

    19. In between keep firing some of your old employees so that there is a constant fear...

    20. Head office remains in oblivion when it comes to India office, never (or does not want to) knows whats happening...

    21. Put funny casual leave clauses like CL cannot be taken on Friday & Monday or in between any holidays.

    22. Dont give paternity leave to male employees, (what does a man have to do if he becomes a father???).

I will update this if I get to know any thing new that these guys have invented.

    Advice to Management

Remember you are a software company: people are more important, rather they are the only thing to be taken care off...

    Pros

zero pro's: trapped employees. Not much pros

    Cons

Eval based on billable time plus expected to work OT with no ot pay or comp. time. Salary under industry average. Computer language under the hood is indo basic, not a high demand language. Self taught sessions on the different packages. in your spare time. The number of session/examines passed = better pay BUT failure rate is high unless you can take the examines unmonitored. Employment contracts don't mean anythng.

    Advice to Management

sell your stock while you can.
