    Pros

Set schedule, yearly compensation increases, not difficult software use requirements. Paid expenses, and overall not a lot of micro management from the executive team. Potential to grow, but after a long sustained run within the organization.

    Cons

High panel walls, no freedom creative thought

    Advice to Management

Be more flexible, allow for creativity and growth from within

    Pros

Strong teamwork, good technical personnel, good access to executive staff, business open to change and willing to spend to make it happen

    Cons

Too much work for the available staff level, too focused from IT perspective to look at new applications even thought the business was open to change

    Advice to Management

Shouldn't have sold out to IP. You had a good model and know the gorilla in the room has slowed industry chaneeds to a glacial pace.

I have been working at Temple-Inland full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are NONE, they were bought by International Paper

    Cons

Oppressive Upper Management Style with little regard for people. Doyle was only there to make the company attractive for sale and was successful in that.

    Advice to Management

None needed, they got their corporate buyouts and have left the rest of us to try to be employed by International Paper

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. Lots of overtime, depending on the season. Friendly employees.

    Cons

The current management team is very disrespectful towards employees. If you need to take personal time off they won't give it to you or they'll "lose" you're request, even if you request it in advance. They practice favoritism and treat certain employees better than others. They get mad at any little thing that goes wrong, even when it's they're fault, they still blame it on the employees. It's always the employees fault, never theirs. The production supervisors are pretty good, it's just the upper management that's bad.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with more respect. The company would be nothing without all their hard work.
