I worked at Tempur Sealy International full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

In general great people to work with. In general great products. Retailers will always see the TSI Rep, as TSI dominates the selling space. TSI is a marketing company that happens to sell mattresses and TSI markets the products well as can be expected. Also if one chooses to drink the Kool-Aid there is personal development process that can be relied on for advancement. Again if your willing to move and be patient.

    Cons

Plan on logging mountains of office time following up on info for retailers. If you enjoy office work this is the job for you. Retail Customer Service is anemic at best. Time in front of customers is becoming the exception. TSM has little influence on territory budget which quarterly and year end bonus is basesd. Copious HR testing on topics of company policy, sexual harassment and business practices. Sign of the times working for a public company. Copious time spent on training to influence retailers decisions. This can be helpful however to much time alloted to this end. Retailers will likely review with TSM one time and then do what they want anyway. No suprise here, but the 80/20 rule definitely applies when support funds are alloted. If you have a key account you will be in good shape. Otherwise you have to make the best of it with whats left over. DTC division,( Direct to consumer, Tempur Stores) doing very well, but I feel at the smaller retailers expense. Creating a level of resentment towards TSI. Be perpared to discuss with smaller retailers the dissatisfaction factor with TSI. Again TSI dominates the selling space so they will always give you time. In reference to budgets TSI pays on incease YOY not volume. Be perpaired to make money one year and the following year to be flat. As budgets are adjusted Its common knowledge to max the territory volume and look to move on to your next position to maintain YOY increased income.

I worked at Tempur Sealy International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Worked from home and good benefits.

    Cons

Micro managed everything you did - couldn't even take a personal break for restroom without them timing you. Lack of support from management and they lie to you in training. When you're actually in the job - its beyond more then they tell or show you in training. Worse place ever to work!

    Pros

They offer benifits and high pay

    Cons

You never work more than 15 hours in one week. If you dont know spanish they poke fun of you and dont accommodate english speakers. They dont give you hours and bribe you into a mediation agreement with 250$ Signing bonus. The pay is only high to keep you coming back because with the hours they give you cant survive. Aka high turnover rates. Just dont do it if your not fluent in spanish or youll be very confused and uncomfortable.
