I worked at Tempur Sealy International (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great pay, geographically manageable territory,
For the most part you can make your own schedule. Great benefits package.

    Cons

Work life balance. Job requires more admin work than actually getting out there and selling. Micro management became an issue.

    Advice to Management

Corporate leadership/upper management should listen to employees to get a true feel for morale in the company. When someone expresses a concern about a manager or an employee they should actually look into it rather than dismiss the concern.

I worked at Tempur Sealy International full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

At this point... not many to be frank. They still have a somewhat generous cell phone reimbursement policy (for now).

    Cons

Lowball on salary (not competitive), benefits continually slashed, previous perks such as airport club access, free bed after 90 days, are all gone.

    Advice to Management

You aren't a retail company. Stop trying to be one. Tempur Sealy isn't Dollar Thrifty, and that's why analysts are starting to say sell sell sell when it comes to stocks!

    Pros

Positivity, encouraging, supportive and this company truly takes care of all employees on every level.

    Cons

I have zero cons working here, we are very happy.

    Advice to Management

Brand new concept, very exciting, fast passed and you truly have to be passionate about the brand. You truly run your own business, they treat all employees as equals. This concept truly defines team and how team building is so important. Work balance life is unheard of in the retail world, not for this company they truly support the balance in your life and encourage a happy work environment. Best decision of my life, I've never found somewhere that I could truly call home and see myself retiring from. Tempur-Pedic has given this opportunity not only myself but for all members on my team!

    Pros

lots of job openings? good discount.

    Cons

poor leadership, unreasonable goals, everyone is happy at first but then they up your goals until you are completely worthless. no help from corporate. people steal sales and clients but you can't tell anyone. director doesn't care as long as you make them money. why I left other mattress company in the first place, I was told this was better. I was lied to.

    Advice to Management

constant threats, having favorites, having zero open door policy, if you speak your mind you will pay the price, does not work. this place dirty place to work at cause of poor upper management. for the sake of those people that still work there and the new ones coming in fix this because it will hurt the company's future.
