I worked at Tempur Sealy International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

HR really cares about it's people and management really cares about keeping people challenged and productive. They always made it a fun, safe and enriching place to work. Cleanest factory I've ever been in!

    Cons

As a large company, it was difficult sometimes to keep the different locations coordinated. To much competition between the plants was thought to be a good way to inspire better performance, but it often led to employees keeping information from each other.

    Advice to Management

As they come into combination with the Sealy team, make sure a lot of effort is put into study bringing the company together and sharing resources and best practices.

I have been working at Tempur Sealy International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Tempur-Sealy offers a good work environment, and stresses teamwork and communication. The company is very focused on continuous improvements and employee engagement.

    Cons

The work schedule can be hectic at times. The company is in the process of integrating the former 'Tempur' and 'Sealy' organizations, and some corporate functions are in a state of flux.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on high quality products and customer satisfaction

I have been working at Tempur Sealy International full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Its a union collaborated company.

    Cons

If you got what it takes to do your best at you job description, you can make a better living financially. Its a white collar, blue collar friendly environment.

    Advice to Management

In my opinion promotion is synonymous with hard work and loyalty where incentives are pivotal in ensuring high quality assurance of both workers and production. Doing business, leaders have to minimize focus on politics and or religion. The two subjects have tendencies of clouding vision of the future and therefore rendering short term company projections.

I have been working at Tempur Sealy International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very exciting time to join the company. The culture is passionate, consumer-centric and friendly. It is obvious that the company values their employees. I love the onsite Starbucks and fully equipped gym. It is a fun and engaging environment, filled with hard-working, dedicated co-workers.

    Cons

Integration has been slower than expected due to the lack of processes and cross-functional communication.

I have been working at Tempur Sealy International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very passionate workforce, excellent brands, clear business strategy and vision for the future of the company.

Competitive compensation and very generous benefits package.

Unlimited growth opportunities as the company continues to grow.

Great work environment in a wonderful building with onsite cafe, starbucks, and fitness center. Very friendly employees who are easy to work with.

    Cons

Work-life balance overall is pretty good, but the company could grow in their acceptance of flexible work schedules (9/80's, 4 10's, etc.), working remotely, etc.

    Advice to Management

Continue to make the tough decisions and weed out those who are not on board with the future vision of the company.
