I worked at Tenaris full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay, a lot of nice people work here, the whole GT program is great, for two years you really learn the job in a unique and irreplaceable way.

    Cons

They're closing a lot of USA offices and production. Don't expect to get very far if you don't speak Spanish or Italian. Also, low social life, the hours can be insane.

    Advice to Management

None, reducing USA head count helped balance books And this is a commodity industry so I didn't expect much.

    Pros

Great company to start your career. Great training program and supportive leaders. For nonengineers the marketing group is a great dynamic place to start.

    Cons

Upward mobility maybe limited, prefers bilingual (Spanish) leadership team because of the company's international presence.

    Advice to Management

    Inspire and motivate young analysts.

Comrades with other shippers due to working in extreme conditions.

    Cons

working in extreme conditions thins out scores of potential shippers requiring more workload of the remaining.

    Advice to Management

Hourly check-up on shippers to assure them that they are not forgotten.

I have been working at Tenaris full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Best chance for advancement it seems is in Sales where a lot of opportunities are getting sent to satellite office around the US. Very loyal company to their EE's, usually never fires anyone just performs layoffs so and the benefits you get here are about as good as it gets minus any daycare or onsite cafeteria options.

    Cons

Work/Life Balance is something that is at the top of every years internal survey as an issue but it never gets any better. Anytime a manager position opens up it usually gets taken by someone coming from another country or someones spouse who already works here.

    Advice to Management

As advised when you first came to make your acquisitions in 2007, You need to begin promoting local talent within the job openings that become available in higher management and director positions.

I worked at Tenaris as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

People were friendly and wiling to help. Also there are many opportunities to travel working within the company.

    Cons

People there seemed like they were always too busy. There seems like there is room for a better work life balance.

    Advice to Management

    Improve work life balance
I heard stories of people having to work ridiculous amounts of hours in a day because of the sheer volume of work that needed to be done.
