I worked at Tenaris full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Overall Tenaris provides excellent benefits for it's employees, from Medical coverage to their 401k plans. They also invest heavily in training of their employees which is an added benefit in my opinion.

    Cons

Work life balance is a challenge for the organization and will continue to be. They run with too lean of a staff and this creates long hours for the existing employees to meet the lofty goals of the organization.

I worked at Tenaris (More than a year)

    Pros

Being able to go home. Having Air conditioning sometimes on weekends.

    Cons

Being nothing than a beast of burden. Used up and spit out once you worked 100 hours a week in some instances. Pay stunk as well.

    Advice to Management

You are lucky you didn't get sued.

I have been working at Tenaris full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Best chance for advancement it seems is in Sales where a lot of opportunities are getting sent to satellite office around the US. Very loyal company to their EE's, usually never fires anyone just performs layoffs so and the benefits you get here are about as good as it gets minus any daycare or onsite cafeteria options.

    Cons

Work/Life Balance is something that is at the top of every years internal survey as an issue but it never gets any better. Anytime a manager position opens up it usually gets taken by someone coming from another country or someones spouse who already works here.

    Advice to Management

As advised when you first came to make your acquisitions in 2007, You need to begin promoting local talent within the job openings that become available in higher management and director positions.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Tenaris full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

A very unpleasant place, very negative work culture, the plant is unnecessarily noisy, filthy, and exposed to weather. Management culture views employees as (at best) disposable and the enemy.

    Cons

Employee turnover over 100% each tear. Company policy is to deny unemployment claim and to fight it through appeals. Accident investigations focus on smearing the injured worker and citing 'policies' they just made up. (We have a policy against falling).
Company policy forbids traditional coffee breaks- legally required lunch only.
    Benefits filled with exclusions.
Zero respect for personal time, with frequent last-minute schedule/shift changes.
Extremely slow to pay and disputes all bills.
Company actively follows social media, and will undoubtedly dispute this review, and try to identify the poster. Fear / intimidation is the management style.

    Advice to Management

What goes up must come down
