I have been working at Teneo Holdings full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Basic refreshments & amenities
-Work is interesting, with well known diverse clients.
-You pick up a few skills useful along the way and connections
-Brand name is picking up rather quickly
-Lots of company events & lunches (quarterly).
-Eager to contribute back to the community

    Cons

-Very fast paced environment, with strong talent.
-Lack of admin help, with everything done practically solo
-Maintaining a work life balance is a bit of a challenge, but that's expected of in this industry. Not exactly a 9-5 job.

    Advice to Management

Invest more guidance to junior associates & staff.

The Teneo internship provides great mentorship, training, and strong work experience. Teneo's internship program revolves around a culture of mentorship, where interns are assigned to a few point people who aimed to learn what the intern wanted to gain from the experience in terms of skills-building and expanding on their interests. There is a great culture of support, as people constantly are aiming to support interns' growth. The training Teneo provides was also great in that I learned new skills and how to apply them within the work I was doing. The people at Teneo also focus on incorporating an intern into the team, to ensure that they enjoyed the work they do and feel that they are a part of the process of finding solutions for a client. Overall, Teneo's focus on ensuring that the internship are a productive and positive experience for the interns is key to the program's success.

    Cons

It's what you make it, so people who aren't interested in working within a team would not thrive

Teneo is a great place to dip your toes across many industries and fields. Some of the big pros of interning with Teneo include:

    1. Being quickly entrusted with similar responsibilities as a entry level associate
    2. Face time with MDs who were very willing to offer advice and talk about their own career paths
    3. Very overall fun and relaxed office environment with a lot of friendly people

    Cons

    1. Some interactions with people who assigned you tasks felt very transnational and it can be frustrating to not understand your contributions within a bigger picture

    Pros

Culture of meritocracy allows you to take on increasing responsibility as you prove yourself.
Ability to learn from highly qualified senior leaders, who are always willing to provide advice and access to junior employees.
Opportunity to work with major multinational companies on timely and challenging problems.
Collaborative and friendly environment where people at all levels are willing to roll their sleeves up or share their expertise.
Broad exposure across industries and situations helps junior employees build a range of skills.

    Cons

Nature of certain client engagements can lead to demanding hours or unpredictable work schedules.
Rapid growth of company has led to some growing pains around internal organization.

I have been working at Teneo Holdings full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You will never think inside the box again. The account teams are cross disciplinary (market analysts, business consultants, accountants, journalists, political advisers etc.) and the work is incredibly diverse. You are never just a cog in a wheel. What's pretty unique is that the owners really are the account leaders in reality, and not like my last consulting job where the client got to see my boss once a year. This place really pushed me to realize my potential.

    Cons

Not a place where mediocrity can hide for long. You always have to have your cellphone on because the clients expect 24/7 access.

    Advice to Management

More mentoring of juniors, if you want to grow your mid-level talent rather than rely on the public market.

I have been working at Teneo Holdings full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Despite some of the negative reviews below, I have found Teneo to be an incredible place to work. As a relatively junior employee you have the opportunity to interact regularly with senior management and to work on a daily basis with very talented senior professionals that are dedicated to making sure you develop the skills you need to have a long and successful career. I feel that I have learned a great deal during my time with the firm and had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest companies in the world that make up the Teneo client base. The company has a strong emerging culture (only 5 years old) and there are a variety of employee engagement and philanthropic activities that take place on a regular basis. Also, despite what might be written in some comments below the firm is increasingly diverse (I believe over 50% of the company are women) and there are many senior women who play critical roles across the firm. Overall, Teneo is great company to work for and I would highly recommend the firm to people interested in a challenging career.

    Cons

While not necessarily a con, people need to understand that in order be successful at Teneo you are going to have to work hard and you will get out of the experience what you put into it. The founders of Teneo are building a new breed of advisory firm and it is something people should be excited to be a part of.

    Advice to Management

Keep focused on building a great firm and creating new opportunities for staff advancement.

I worked at Teneo Holdings full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. The company hires highly qualified senior talent.
    2. Teneo pays for dinner when you stay in the office after 8PM (which comes in handy when you work 16 hour days.
    3. Free bottled water and sodas

    Cons

    1. If you're part of the junior staff, you will work 60+ hour weeks. It's the norm in there.
    2. People usually work at Teneo for a few years and then realize that their work is not compensated enough, and decide to leave.
    3. When male senior staff hit on younger girls in the office, it's considered "normal" and the ladies have to suck it up in order to keep their jobs.
    4. HR is a joke. I saw at least 4 people get fired in a matter of a couple of months because their bosses were not clear on expectations to them.
    5. Management is white-male dominated, there's no diversity and no respect for it either.

    Advice to Management

Stop putting up a facade to your clients when the bulk of your employees are underpaid and dissatisfied with their job, because of your bad management and greed.
