I have been working at Tenet Healthcare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

One of the best reasons I work at Tenet Healthcare is due to the caring culture from the organization.

    Cons

The retention within the organization does not promote a overall positive sense of security.

    Advice to Management

Advice to management would be to offer sign on bonuses for new employment and better opportunities for career growth.

I have been working at Tenet Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Local management is outstanding and makes a big difference working for a large company. Human resources is the one department that is not local that has always been very dependable

    Cons

Tenet is not a local company in Atlanta and hiring process was very difficult. Expectations of both staff and local management are not realistic. Have heard complaints about company from different staff.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate all employees not just corporate positions that create task to be carried out by other employees. Dont make employees use PTO for holidays and bad weather that require office to be closed

I have been working at Tenet Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The location is great, my unit has flexible hours and scheduling. many people have gone on to higher positions within the company. They help contribute to tuition costs.

    Cons

Management is always fixing things late: parking, equipment, and staffing. Administration would rather redecorate for a quick sale then to put in any better raises.

    Advice to Management

Have some type of humbleness and humility.

Current Employee - Healthcare Worker in Sandy Springs, Fulton, GA

    Pros

work-life balance is subjective, depending on who you speak with. The culture is to work with what you have

    Cons

Signing up for benefits is deplorable. They DO NOT have a good system in place at all. Then they have the nerve to have terrible health benefits.

I have been working at Tenet Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They offer a full benefits package - health, dental, vision, 401K. They don't expect any nights or weekend hours, overtime is limited.

    Cons

Tenet knows how to run hospitals, but has been running the physician practices by trial and error. The success of the acquisition really comes down to the physicians and the manager since the corporate structure does not set up the practice for success.

    Advice to Management

Pick one initiative at a time. Focus on one or two areas of improvement and wait for things to improve before piling on more. It's a lot harder to do twenty things well versus two. Have consistent training so that the different offices still have some commonalities but understand that different speciality offices require different workflow.
