Doctors tend to be nice. Some of the staff sticks around. Patients are good people. Not under constant scrutiny from upper management.

If you can withstand long work hours and agreeing to be available every other weekend and several holidays a year, you can enjoy what you get to learn and see in the lab. Joy and confidence can be derived from knowing you’re getting exposed to a great diversity of work.
Cons
Unless you’re sure you’re willing to stay for the required time don’t do a sign on nor a Retention bonus. If you leave before contract end date you have to pay them back the bonus total even though you didn’t receive the bonus total because it was heavily taxed.
