I worked at Tenet Healthcare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Competitive salaries for the Dallas area. Good bonus structure (for more senior roles). Good time off (if you are allowed to take it). Depending on the group you work in, you may have a wonderful experience. To have that good experience, do not work with senior leadership regularly.

    Cons

Toxic culture the closer you get to the top of the organization. Favortism everywhere. For the average employee, there is no culture, no clear company identity. Senior leadership expects you to worship them; work at the last minute on pet projects, unrelated to the business of running Tenet. Passive aggressive behavior with leaders. To be hired and succeed, it is preferable if you are a young, attractive female, or if your parent is a close personal friend of a senior leader, or if you went to the "right" schools, favored by senior leadership. Unbelievable bias and unethical behavior the higher you go.

    Advice to Management

My advice is to the board of directors. Pay closer attention to what's going on among your senior leaders. There is a reason the company has a poor reputation in the industry. Can't fix their own messes. There's are root causes for the crises du jour in the hospitals. There are reasons why there's a horrible culture at the corporate office and it starts with the people near and at the top of the company.

I worked at Tenet Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I can't think of any for this section. Don't apply. You will be one of many in a line of people who will leave with yourself intact.

    Cons

Patient to nurse ratios are at times unsafe. Getting floated to telemetry where it's also unsafe. Management retaliates when you voice concerns about patient safety.

    Advice to Management

    Put patients over profits.

I have been working at Tenet Healthcare full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Many co workers who are intelligent, but manipilative. We have a manager.

    Cons

The manager we have is never here. When he is, he complains constantly. We waited years for this? Adminstration has no idea what they are doing. Getting anything done is laborious and takes far to long. When you ask someone who might have answers for answers they don't what to share or they don't know what your talking about. DMC is utterly ridiculous and seems to be falling apart again.

    Advice to Management

Care! Care about your employees, care about your department. Represent your department in good light and take responsibility for your own short comings.

I have been working at Tenet Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have a job to somewhat pay the bills. I know 2 amazing supervisors.

    Cons

    Where to start?:
-lack of communication from upper management to worker bees
-employees put their name on other's work and then claim as theirs and get promoted to a higher level of management even though they are highly unqualified
    -harassment is a daily occurrence
    -moral is down the drain
    -favoritism!
    -micromanagement
-lack of consideration for team members that know what they are talking about
-retribution/being forced to hate your job and leave
    -high turn over rate
    -unrealistic goals
-no employee appreciation only tell you how bad everyone is doing
-unethically asked to apply balances to patient responsibility when the EOB clearly defines otherwise. This can void a payer contract not to mention lead to litigation.
-constantly being asked to perform another department's job
    -lack of training
-long wait times to get your logins for all the systems you need access to
-no consensus or general ground on any matter
-no one is on the same page!
-false management advertising; "bringing up moral and doing more work events together" never happened
-upper management hardly speaks to employees
-HR is oblivious to what is around them; yet they are the only ones who listen if people weren't too scared of retribution

    Advice to Management

    Advice to Tenet Corporate Management:
-Seriously look into the upper management in this building
-Talk to everyday employees about what is happening in this building
-Bring in a person to train employees on the system so they universally know the same things, then send them to their perspective departments to learn more about what they will be doing in that department
-Seriously look into and truly see how upper management neglects employees and do your own audits on accounts to see the unethical dilemma

I have been working at Tenet Healthcare part-time

    Pros

Truly I wish I could say something positive about this company but I really can't. I recommend two of my friend to work at two different offices and they both couldn't take anymore and they left the company.

    Cons

I don't even know where to start. The people who leader this company at least TFPS are the most stupidest people ever. They definitely need to go back to business school to see if they can learn at least how to manage a business. They don't have any idea how to manage a business in an effective or efficient way. They created task that don't allow to do your job properly because are the most stupidest thing ever invented it. Managers are micro managers to the fullest and never ever hope for congratulations if you are a good employee.

    Advice to Management

Please go back to school so you can learn how to manage a successful business

    Pros

Benefits, Pay, and a few select co-workers.

    Cons

Issues taken to HR - They support management NOT the employee, and Departmental Directors and Executives often have their own agenda such as reducing budgets by reducing staff of good workers.

    Advice to Management

Corporate Management needs to review and remove many departmental Directors and Executives as they are dishonest and can't be trusted frequently.

    "HORRIBLE LEADERSHIP"

    StarStarStarStarStar
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in Goodyear, AZ
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in Goodyear, AZ

I have been working at Tenet Healthcare (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is comparable. The Operating Room seems like it functions well. Most of the staff in that area seem well trained.

    Cons

I work in a small hospital in the Phoenix area, which was given a "Level One" trauma accreditation 2 years ago. I'm a new employee and have spent my entire career in large trauma one hospitals. This place has not one clue how to function. It is so poorly managed, and the leadership is so under educated that I'm surprised it has not been sued out of existence for negligence. Somone needs to get out here fast and re organize this place before somone else dies. Every department is a disaster. Not one employee has any idea how to function as there are not clear cut policies on work flow and people have been promoted to levels of leadership who do not know how to lead. It' s awful.

    Advice to Management

CORPORATE!!! WAKE UP! IF YOU DONT' GET OUT HERE AND FIX THIS PLACE IT WILL END UP COSTING YOU WAY MORE MONEY THEN YOU WILL EVER MAKE!!!!!
