    I worked at Tenneco full-time

    Pros

Worked there for 19+ years and was able to move up considerable and grow there.

    Cons

Lots of OT. Ending up being the reason I left. Worked 16 hour days with constant phone calls at home.

    Advice to Management

Need a vision for a the entire team from top to bottom. Had this at one time and the company did well as well as company morale. With all the JCI and Eaton adds in the middle management team there is no common goal. All of them are trying to implement their own systems and none match with each other, while dismantling the systems that pulled TEN out of the 2008 slump.

I worked at Tenneco as an intern

    Pros

Friendly coworkers in a forward-thinking environment. I worked with employees and tech specialists for two separate internships.

    Cons

The space I was given to work in was tight, and behind a door. The office often felt very gloomy and I occasionally worked with disgruntled employees.

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring interns. It is a valuable experience with lots of hands-on learning opportunities. The employees care and are eager to help young employees.
