    I worked at Tennessee Farmers Co OP full-time

    Pros

    Good family atmosphere. Management is fair. Good work conditions. Good customer base. Get to see same people all of the time.

    Cons

    Low pay scale but it is retail. Late Saturday hours. Overworked and understaffed during spring rush which leaves employees exhausted.

    Advice to Management

    Hire more temporary help during spring rush. Increase pay scale or offer some incentives for employees that offer premium service.

    Pros

    During the spring, summer and fall you stayed so busy that your it didn't seem like you were there long.

    Cons

    Unloading railroad Box car full of grass seed. Very slow during the winter months.

    Pros

    Great community and place to work. Very competitive benefits for the industry and above average locally. Challenging work environment in a growing sector.

    Cons

    I don't have many here. The salary at the time was a bit behind the industry average for comparable positions.

    Pros

    store level management is often flexible, clients are fun, you get to learn about a lot of unique products, casual work attire

    Cons

    pay is low, upper management seems uninterested in development of lower level employees, the technology in the stores is subpar

    invest in new technology, monitor your store-level management more closely, offer more training for employees, refine the inventory management system
