    Pros

I worked there as an Engineering Co-Op. For the most part I enjoyed the people.

    Cons

I was generally bored with my assignments and found them to be dry and repetitive. From my perspective the company seemed to have a silo mentality where there was not a lot of transparency (or at least publicity) about what went on in other departments. I frequently ran out of work to do which was frustrating because I genuinely prefer staying busy.

    Advice to Management

Keep people informed about current events in the company and the things that different departments are working on.

    Pros

Overall most people works at Teradyne are friendly and they do offer flexible working hours.

    Cons

No real innovations in recent years, staled working environment. Management think that anyone can be replaced, and employees don't have much say as what they want to work on. Company only hires full-timers over-sea at low cost regions. Doesn't value employees, give out minimum raises.

Company full of discouraged employees, not a happy working place. No one is excited comes to work, everyone puts in minimum efforts only.

The benefits of this company has also been diminishing.

    Advice to Management

Please treat engineers with respect and take some surveys to see what exactly employee thinks about the company. It's not a pretty picture.

I have been working at Teradyne (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I can't really think of any good points, company has changes so much in recent years. It has squeezed the life out of employees.

    Cons

No career path, unrealistic schedules, demanding working overtime without compensation. Poor environment support. Doesn't give employees tool to be successful. It's almost like they are intended to set people for failures and them blame them.

Intimitating employees by hiring overseas. Give out low raises for last decade.

Most employees has no voice. If they do voice differ opinion, they will end up being pushed out of the door.

    Advice to Management

Very bad run company, no integrity anymore. In many cases, the product is not as they advertised. They do whatever they can get away, to make the most profit that's all they cared. Don't work for this company, stay away.

    Pros

Flexible hours. Work from home is an option occasionally. Good experience for SW developers. Upper management runs things well so company is almost always profitable. Profit Sharing.

    Cons

Very limited growth opportunity. Stingy with raises...almost non existent. There is very little turnover so company culture is lacking younger professionals.

    Advice to Management

Figure out how to provide more growth opportunities within the company. Revisit how raises are done. Need to attract and retain younger professionals.
