I worked at Terex as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The schedule was very good. I worked 4/10, so always had the three days weekend, and the some times you will have 5 days off when holidays that fall on Monday.

    Cons

You have to work very hard to make it there. They loaded you with a lot of works. They only hire through temp agency, so very little benefits until you get to be direct hire.

    Pros

Excellent Benefits, including 401k, insurance, stock purchase program, and education. Great industry to work in, company has great values on life and community,

    Cons

Seems like there are to many department heads in certain departments. Also there are time that they do not communicate jobs well done or that need more attention.

    Advice to Management

Give team members feedback on how they are doing

I have been working at Terex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The employees are great and easy to work with for the most part. Pay seems reasonable. I enjoy the type of projects I get to work on. Future growth opportunities exist.

    Cons

Directions are quick to change. Daily "fires" easily become the major focus over long term development. Different teams often operate independent of each other while I believe there could be more cross functional teamwork.

    Advice to Management

Focus on developing a plant to work more as a team and align to common goals. Live and act by the TBS principles we know over short term gains.

Global manufacturer, publicly traded company with market leaders in aerial work platforms, materials processing and material handling and port solutions segments. Pride in quality, cost, delivery, customer care.

    Cons

Cyclical nature of industry. Macro conditions and foreign exchange impact this industrial as with any industrials. Some interesting opportunities or risks are being presented to the Company.

I have been working at Terex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company to start your engineering career at. A lot of freedom to design your own machines/projects while also learning how to support the production line. There is time for personal development, but you'll need to decide that yourself and find it on your own.

    Cons

Work gets repetitive and sometimes stagnant after a couple years. Not a lot of mentoring. Most people have to figure things out on their own.
