    Great pay! Overtime was optional. Peers make work enjoyable.

    Lack of management on 2nd shift who cared for the associates and the work.

    Pros

    Good work environment, excellent benefits, Easy to get paid time off, lots of opportunities for growth, community and employee involvement.

    Cons

    There’s a lot of hours to work, mandatory overtime Fridays and be long and drag on.

    Advice to Management

    Make Fridays voluntary instead of mandatory.

    I get the impression that there is not a ton of upward mobility within the corporate division, that to move up at Terex, you have to be willing to relocate.

    Pros

    Great place to work. Zero Harm as the number one goal is very inspiring. The company is sticking to its plan to transform into One Terex. Very exciting.

    Cons

    Not always easy to know what is happening at different locations, but it is a big company.

    Advice to Management

    Drive more company wide sharing and reuse.

    - Great benefits including new flexible work arrangements, paid maternal and secondary care-giver leave, telecommuting, 401k, stock purchase options, and healthcare with vision, dental.
    - Global footprint with plenty of opportunity to expand your skills, travel, and engage with multiple cultures.
    - Talent development program enables you to take control of your career and map out your aspirations.
    - Management that seriously cares about its team members
    - CEO with a plan and the willingness to get things done
    - Great bonuses when company is doing well
    - Serious about early talent and attracting / retaining millennial workforce
    - Company is doing well thanks to the execution of its strategy and an uptick in the market.

    Cons

    - Complex corporate environment means the company is not as nimble as it could be.
    - Stuck in old ways at times, but new talent is pushing the company into new ways of thinking and doing business.
    - You may be asked to do things that do not fit your job description, which can be a con if you are not willing to wear multiple hats at once.

    Advice to Management

    - Continue to develop team members and promote from within
    - Give clear career paths at the annual reviews
    - Consider relaxing some of the corporate standards and simplifying the processes to get things done

    Pros

    Terex's GBS Center in Waverly, IA is a finance hub in small town Iowa that offers multiple levels of career advancement potential without having to move. ~100 finance professionals work in our location. Continuous Improvement and taking initiative is valued. New flex work programs make balancing work and life even easier. Fair compensation. Leadership at the top of the company has changed the tone and direction in a good way.

    Cons

    Different segments of the company operate in different ways making it a challenge to deliver efficient and consistent internal and external services in some cases. The pace of change can be exciting, but also at times intimidating.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to differentiate recognition and awards for high performers.

    Terex has an amazing work culture. Since the company is being spread out globally, you get to work with teams in different countries. Working hours are very flexible and the teams are great !!
