I worked at Terri's Little Pumpkins full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The kids are great.
    Your coworkers are generally great.
That's it, really, management is basically on another planet reality wise.

    Cons

Management wouldn't pay for new toys or books, if you went and bought them for your class you better kiss that money good bye because you're not gonna get it back.

    Advice to Management

    1. Don't fire good people for stupid reasons
    2. Consider updating the toys and books to one's from this century..

    Pros

Shut down by the state in September of 2016. Finally.

    Cons

Everything - bounced paychecks, revolving door of directors, dirty and unkempt centers

    Advice to Management

Terri Bettano, don't ever open another daycare center.

    Pros

The children and families are wonderful. The staff are doing a decent job with no supplies.

    Cons

NO art, music, books, manipulatives, puzzles, science, math, among other things. There are NO supplies. Rugs that are majorly ripped, NO fire extinguishers on the first floor. Checks that bounce when you try to cash them. This is a dog kennel for children. TOO MANY health and safety concerns to mention on here. Had to contact EEC and Medford Police Dept on 3rd day due to amount of problems. Had a DCF investigation on the second day. This place is dirt poor and you deserve better as a staff member than to make $10 an hour for the work you do.

    Advice to Management

SPEND THE MONEY ON HEALTH AND SAFETY! Also, spend the money on supplies and toys. You need to develop the whole child and you are not doing that when you have nothing to help develop them. Don't blame the staff when this is all CLEARLY corporate's fault. Take pride in your work and understand that you need to spend money to make money.

I worked at Terri's Little Pumpkins (Less than a year)

    Pros

The children are great, you get to bond with the families. Some teachers are nice. Easy to get to

    Cons

Too many to list. Place is a dump. They only care about money not the children. The owner NEVER comes in and doesn't even know her staffs names. Classrooms are run down. No new equipment

    Advice to Management

Pay your teachers appropriately! Act like you care even if you really don't. It's all about the children remember that!

I have been working at Terri's Little Pumpkins full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great children. Close to home. Most of the other employees were great.

    Cons

This center under pays their staff. They also fail to pay the staff on time in some cases.

They will not pay you for any overtime unless they feel like. If you stay 20 min late to help or talk to a parent too bad!

The kids are kept in one room all day or moved around the center so the directors won't have to help teachers if they go over ratio.

They have bugs that you can see crawling in the lights. Not to mention the staff that leaves with bug bites on them. CHILDREN SLEEP ON BUG INFESTED FLOORS!

To top it off the barely have enough supplies to last a day. Forget getting new books regularly.

    Advice to Management

Care about your staff and maybe you wouldn't have all bad reviews. Keep the place clean. Provide what the staff needs to teach the children. Pay the staff what they deserve.

I worked at Terri's Little Pumpkins part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are wonderful children enrolled at the centers.

    Cons

SO MANY: limited supplies, toys and books are old and in poor repair, meals are disgusting, poor curriculum that does not focus at all on children's interests or abilities, outdoor space is inadequate, children are often stuck inside all day with very little physical activity, majority of staff are barely qualified to work with children, teachers are paid horribly compared to the outrageously high tuition--therefore, there is a lot of turnover, children are shuffled around numerous times a day...sometimes in order to send staff home early and save some money! There is no consistency whatsoever as children are in and out of different classrooms "herded" around as the other post mentioned, upper management will do their best to keep families in the dark about how classrooms are run...they only care about their bottom line not about your children! If you are considering placing your child here, you have not done your research nor spent enough time observing!

    Advice to Management

Your turnover is high for a reason. Employees are not happy nor are they paid appropriately. Upper management is either clueless or honestly don't give a crap as long as their $$$ keeps rolling in. So sad because the children in their care are who are truly suffering!

    Pros

    Wonderful kids children are wonderful.

    Cons

Agree with everything the other reviews said didnt last a day here never came back after i saw how things were...after you get hired you dont have a life anymore.

    Advice to Management

Try to be on top of your centers on everything staff as well as directors which are just as bad enough worse !

I worked at Terri's Little Pumpkins full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The children and most of the families were amazing. I was able to make connections with a couple of amazing co-workers. Good stepping stone if you wish to gain experience.

    Cons

It's pretty evident that this company is all about profits. Cut corners, developmentally inappropriate curriculum, over enrolled classrooms, doesn't follow state lisencing regulations, lack of supplies, hired people that didn't care about their work, high turn over, under paid, under appreciated and the benefits weren't great.

    Advice to Management

Please hire competent employees. The children deserve better. Stop cutting corners. Parents would be happy to pay for a quality environment. Do some research on curriculum planning. Please stop combining classrooms and herding children around from room to room all day. Remember that happy teachers make happy children, happy children make happy parents, happy parents make happy owners..

    Pros

    Families and children are wonderful

    Cons

Corporate does not care about their staff or families. It's all about the owner and what she can put in her pocket for her fun and adventures. Turnover is unbelievable and have lost many good employees over payroll. Either not getting their paychecks on time or uncashable. Yes, UNCASHABLE. Does not offer personal time, and sick time is a JOKE! Children are moved from classroom to classroom and staff sent home to "save" $$$. Supplies are minimal and curriculum is the same over and over.

    Advice to Management

    Time to sell your business!!!!
