I have been working at Terumo BCT
Established company. If you have a background in blood banking, you'll have an edge. Great place to coast your way to retirement. Some challenging technical work. A couple of great managers at middle-management level. A lot of the engineers have a wonderful attitude and a great work ethic. Some of the engineers have worked their way into middle management and those folks know what they are talking about.
A lot of engineers, especially the younger ones feel that it is a dead end job. There is very little scope for growth. Some middle managers were hired with little competence over the areas they oversee. There is a lot of politics. You better know where your loyalties lie and be prepared to play the game. There are challenging projects, but your skills are not transferable. So after putting in 5 years you'll be stuck...
Advice to Management
The younger engineers can take on much more aggressive deadlines for faster time to market etc. But you'll have to put in a better rewards structure and publicize it and see to it that hard work gets rewarded appropriately. Some times it doesn't get to your ears who the people are that work really hard and maybe there is something you can do about it.Terumo BCT2010-02-13
