I worked at Testronic Labs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people in a great environment. Everyone is able to do their job at a high skill level and do what they need to get done.

    Cons

Sometimes the compensation isn't exactly what I was looking for, but overall they do a pretty good job of giving people what the industry standard is.

    Advice to Management

Compensate the employees a bit more. And make sure that the employees have benefits instead of hiring just part-time employees.

    Pros

    - Flexible hours
    - Good overtime pay
    - Exposure to apps, movies, shows before anyone else
    - Good location in downtown area near Metrolink
    - Casual atmosphere

    Cons

    - Co-workers are anti-social
    - Preferential treatment to many low-performing employees who are friends of management
    - Haphazard hiring process
    - Management has very poor boundaries
    - Lots of last minute overtime requests on a daily basis
    - Lack of direction and guidance on most projects
    - Lack of follow-up on complaints

    Advice to Management

Take complaints very seriously. Avoid hiring friends unless they will be made accountable for low performance. Provide better overall training and pay people what they deserve.

I have been working at Testronic Labs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I just got a promotion - it was hard work but i feel like i earned it.
Management change has improved the company way of life - i now have a line manager who respects me and i feel like i have a voice.
Communication has improved - my ideas are being listened too and i understand some of the 'stranger' decisions.
Socially its a great place to work with a relaxed attitude - Nobody likes a suit and tie ;)
Working in partnership and learning from some of the greatest game developers in the industry is really cool

    Cons

The workload can be tough but things are getting better. Line management is helping here.

    Advice to Management

More game tournamnents please - the recent tekken tournament was a blast. I hear there will be a global mario cart tournamnet soon <3
