I have been working at Tetra Pak full-time

    Pros

Healthy business, although it's now suffering a bit because of competition.
    Good employee benefits.
    Multicultural environment.

    Cons

    Flat organisation.
Career growth more likely to happen if you have a good network/an internal sponsor.
Uncertainty is in the air due to the several organisational changes that have been happening.

    Advice to Management

It would be great if "cuts" (in terms of costs) happened where it really makes sense and not where it's easier.
More transparency on where the company is going. This would motivate people to do their part even more, while the lack of communication scares.

    Cons

** THIS COMPANY DID THE LOWEST ALMOST FORTUNE 500 Company***Management offers no help, there no continuing education,Flat organization no Progression, Training and promoting is purely by chance there is not a set time, management is not engaged they expect you to do it all and give them the glory, lots of family/descendants, what position you are brought in on the floor is the one you are going to be in very unlikely you get to move around company. and its privately owned so they do what they want! Supervisors and Managers are on the same level so get ready for alot of misdirection and no accountability. Quotas that can change Multiple times a YR

    Advice to Management

Don't take people for granted, also need better Communication and Compensation.

    Pros

The products help people in countries that don't have the luxury of refrigeration. Founded on wonderful European culture. Some really smart processes.

    Cons

Working with union employees makes non-union jobs tough.

    Advice to Management

Hold union workers accountable both to their unions and stewards. Otherwise, the same things happen over and over which means good employees find jobs elsewhere.
