I have been working at Texas Commission on Environmental Quality as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

This internship has given me the opportunity to network with people that have so much experience in the environmental field and are willing to educate other people like myself. I have had the opportunity to assist on-site environmental investigations and learned how the investigators provided technical assistance and conducted inspections to facilities to ensure that companies are in compliance with federal and state regulations. Great place to work.

    Cons

    The internship was too short.

I have been working at Texas Commission on Environmental Quality as an intern

    Pros

Great work-life balance. Not a stressful workplace. Friendly staff who are very willing to help.

    Cons

Can be slow at times. There aren't always projects to work on but this let me make the internship my own, so it wasn't terrible.

    Advice to Management

I have seen the management invest in their staff and how helpful and important it is. Keep investing.

Great people, hours, and opportunities. It is a great place to learn if you are just out if college. I enjoyed it.

    Cons

Pay is lower than industry average. This is compensated in other ways such as pension, leave and job stability. Other than that there really is no downside.

    Advice to Management
