    Pros

    Really enjoyed my time working at the Comptroller's office. Interacted with a lot of great people, both coworkers and tax payers.

    Cons

    I can't think of anything I disliked about working here. Enjoyed all my experiences with the Comptroller of Public Accounts agency.

    The quotas are set by our Legislature. they have no understanding of what goes on during a phone call.

    The culture here is wonderful. Great place to be a woman in tech. Lots of internal promotions and recognition of hard work.

    Cons

    The furniture is pretty old but it's all being replaced (thanks, Glenn Hegar!).

    Keep being awesome.

    So many days off, learning experience

    Wait in line mentality job, doesn't not reward creativity, people at the top are too old and dated to be making decisions with technology ever changing. It's a seniority game.

    Retire and let new blood improve the process

    Even as an intern, I felt like my ideas were heard. Everyone is very knowledgable and wants to work together to push forward.

    As with any government entity, there's a lot of red tape so projects move slow.

    Great IT department, and other departments to work with and support you in the job. Diverse work group, great benefits and pretty flexible regarding family and personal time.

    Huge never-ending workload, political climate.

    Always keep in mind that people have lives outside of work, recognize each others accomplishments.

    Pros

    ID farms are way less drama than state jail..Id units are bigger and dangerous but way less drama with co workers..

    Cons

    Lots of hours, pay should be increased for babysitting murders' and child molesters, no weapons or air conditioning. Boards should be non biased.

    Advice to Management

    Rank should show less favoritism and discrimination
