      Great benefits, learn about a new agency, able to transfer within or other agencies and still keep time in title.

      Cons

      Conventional methods, not up-to-date on new programs or methods, employees tend to get into same work schedules. The pay is below national average.

      heavy workload, lots of time in the car, high expectations, poor implementation of changes to case management software, team lead didn't understand FLSA and hourly vs salary work

      Stable job with great benefits and overall good environment. Hard working individuals that are very smart and passionate. Excellent work-life balance with low stress but meaningful work. Help make a difference in the lives of Texans.

      Cons

      Low pay with no annual bonus. Have to re-apply to higher positions to be "promoted" or increase pay. Patience is key as things move slow in government work.
