I worked at Texas Instruments full-time

    Pros

-Coworkers are positive and willing to teach
-Lots of technical challenges to solve
-Opportunities to learn and grow across the industry

    Cons

-Group/business dependent and can have poor managers at times
-Very corporate top-down structure which can make it difficult to branch out and try new things quickly. Slow to change.

I have been working at Texas Instruments full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Ignoring big california tech, TI has the best pay and benefits for engineers. I love my office place, with my team being both supportive and fun. Work life balance is great since my whole team has kids and subscribes to "work is done at work".

    Cons

Experiences can vary per role and team. I know someone who is in a team on the decline so things have been rough for him. Comparatively, I know someone in a growing team that is having a blast.

Oh, also Dallas or bust if you are a yuppie

    Advice to Management

Try to reduce tensions between certain job roles. Marketing is always irritating apps engineers. Design will not do any documentation, make apps engineers' lives difficult. Systems will not work with marketing to define clear goal for design. Though not constant, this is the only part of the day to day that bothers me

I worked at Texas Instruments as an intern

    Pros

As an intern with no prior industry experience, TI helped me learn the ways of big companies and also about my field. This was thanks to a very supportive atmosphere brought about by people who don't just want to be colleagues but also friends.

    Cons

In my opinion, the work was not as fulfilling as what other technology companies were doing.
