I have been working at Texas Roadhouse full-time

    Pros

flexible schedule, some of the management is cool, people are easy to talk

    Cons

if you are not Mexican you will be treated very differently and if you are very young working a low job.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your staff, stop wondering off and don't fire people when you clearly know that your already understaffed.

I have been working at Texas Roadhouse part-time

    Pros

Fellow servers and part-time employees are awesome! The corporate training was excellent - thorough, fun, and positive.

    Cons

The FOH and BOH managers are ALL incredibly negative and seem to rely on threats to do their management for them.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on positive motivation

I worked at Texas Roadhouse full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good money.. The location is in a nice spot so it allows a lot of people to come in regularly.

    Cons

Worst management I've ever dealt with. Everything you deal with at the Methuen location is all drama. Food there made me so sick after eating it..Managers there are not understanding what so ever. They do not know what they're doing, everything is unorganized and everyone is unhappy. The managers swear at half of the staff on a daily basis, and get away with murder.. Good money but not worth the drama

    Advice to Management

    Hire some good managers

I have been working at Texas Roadhouse part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Bread and butter
    I consistently worked nights

    Cons

Completely cheat you out of making a good amound of money for your time. I worked about 30 hours and made just over $62.
Management wouldnt let me go home when I was throwing up and sick in the bathroom.
They hire and keep people that do not meet qualifications after months of employment.

    Advice to Management

Pay you're workers and let us go home when we are sick. It's disgraceful.

I worked at Texas Roadhouse full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great food. Hand cut steaks and made from scratch sides

    Cons

During the hiring process they say quality of life is important. Total lie. You spend 12-14 hrs. A day there. 5 days a week and on one of my days off I was required to attend a manager meeting that lasted 3 hrs in the middle of the day. I couldn't swallow the Kool aid. I didn't manage anything except putting up trucks, setting up the line and covering call outs. If you sign on you are married to the restaurant. Sucked

    Advice to Management

Out times should be acknowledged as long as all responsibilities are met.

I worked at Texas Roadhouse full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nothing!! Job sucked and was very unfairbwith employees unless you where a favorite or as they say a brown noser with the manager.

    Cons

At my restaurant the managers have a lot of favoritism that is well known by all the employees. Much higher pay was given to the favorites who didn't have to work for it but only because they where close to the managers. If you were a very hard worker especially in the kitchen it was rare that you get noticed or if at all. On the line we had no breaks worked over 9 hours with not even a 10 min break. Hated that place glad I'm gone!!

    Advice to Management

Recognize all hard working staff not just your favorites and pay everyone fairly and what they deserve, oh and breaks would be pretty nice especially if you pull doubles on weekends which I would pull every Saturday and Sunday

I worked at Texas Roadhouse part-time

    Pros

They open at 4 pm. The staff ( not management) were really helpful by running food and drinks if needed.

    Cons

Terrible management. They promote people who are the "barbie" type. If you are not in that category they look to get rid of you for reasons that do not make sense. Retaliation was used in my case but in the handbook it says they do not tolerate that. Complaining to corporate doesn't work. Waste of my life!

    Advice to Management

    Stop the discrimination.
