    Pros

Because this is such a high volume restaurant the line is very fast paced and the prep continual. The way they have the shifts staggered it makes it so the line rarely needs things "on the fly".

    Cons

Due to the amount of food that goes through this kitchen, if you are a prep cook here you will be doing the same thing in large batches every day. It can be a bit monotonous.

    Advice to Management

Do what you say you will. If the crew sees the management not following the rules they think the rules do not matter and feel that neither the job they do nor they themselves matter to to the company.

I worked at Texas Roadhouse part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

These are typically pretty busy restaurants so servers/bartenders make good tips. The menu is also very simple and easy to learn.

    Cons

Management changes a lot, and tend to focus on the wrong things. Also, at both locations I worked for the people they chose for promotions were a joke.

    Advice to Management

Stop letting politics determine who you promote and who you give the good shifts to. Nobody appreciates it.

I have been working at Texas Roadhouse full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pretty decent coworkers and once you get used to the job it becomes pretty easygoing and you learn how to pace yourself.

    Cons

Always running out of something and being rushed in rushes and coworkers in front of house are trying to eat your bread when they don't want to look for more work to do. Managers will forget you need something unless you ask multiple times.

    Advice to Management

Fully train a manager properly before putting them in the management position. Do not overwork someone if you're not going to pay them for the extra hours. Manage your crews better and they won't bicker as much.
