I have been working at Textron full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Its very rewarding to see a finished product that you have taken part in building go "out the door". When one combines pride with great work ethics, it's amazing what can be accomplished.

    Cons

The workforce is a bit mixed with people who are there to "just get a check" and those who actually enjoy doing what they do. It creates problems with production as well as peoples overall attitudes. Very low compensation for great job performance is an issue that needs serious attention.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the employees who make this place successful and compensate them better. In not doing so, production has, and will, go on. But realistically, how much better COULD it be?

I worked at Textron full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great place to gain experience in a vast holding company with many divisions, a diverse category of good products and lots of opportunity within a division.

    Cons

Divisions are run in silos - very little cross pollination. Divisions get little support from corp. They must sink or swim on their own (not necessarily a bad thing) but don't leverage the power of the larger Corp.

    Advice to Management

Put a face to the company.
