    Pros

Good opportunities for internal growth. Competitive compensation structures. Able to migrate between Textron businesses. Great place for Millennial workers to get their start.

    Cons

Textron Systems is not well led at many of the Hunt Valley business units. Management is not trustworthy or mission focused. Functional leadership has effectively overtaken program leadership, which results in very unbalanced and single topic focused management expectations. In this company you seek margin above all.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what your SLT is doing. Insist on a cogent and executable strategy that is not simply re-squeezing old lemons to get residual lemon juice.

    Pros

People are great to work with from peers on up to management.

    Cons

Company has changed since it went from AAI Corporation to being bought by Textron in 2007. Many areas are overwhelmed/overworked and no time to be pro-active. People are disillusioned and key people are leaving.

    Advice to Management

Should be studying why people are leaving on the spot.
