I have been working at Textron Systems full-time

    Pros

Mission-driven work with real importance and value for the customer and warfighter. Good people to work with. Generally competitive benefits.

    Cons

Often feeling stretched/overworked with multiple "top priorities". Highly technical individual contributors sometimes overlooked by management. Compensation seems slightly below average.

    Advice to Management

Ensure competitive pay and benefits to retain talent. Better maintenance of a steady and reasonable workflow would increase work/like balance and job satisfaction.

I have been working at Textron Systems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good people Interesting defense products Attention to quality Personable lower level management Clearly defended chain of command with employees at all levels that are experienced and knowledgeable about their jobs. Good pay, four weeks vacation, fair 401k

    Cons

Upper level management does not pass information to employees No idea what is going on in Washington (legislation passed that doomed the company). Layoffs

    Advice to Management

Share information about state of the business with your employees.

    I worked at Textron Systems

    Pros

Good people to work with. Give Engineering Interns real work. Small enough to where you can have a relationship albeit somewhat limited, with your boss, and others higher up.

    Cons

Experience depends largely on your boss and the projects they have to give you.

    Advice to Management

    Hire less Interns
