    Pros

    Cons

I worked at Textura Corporation full-time

    Pros

Fun product and industry to work on. Company has a lot of opportunities to grow and expand in its space as it transitions management from people that are better suited for early stage growth to a more professional and experienced management team.

    Cons

A lot of the cons are disappearing with the Oracle acquisition, which will bring greater expertise in sales execution, marketing, product development, strategy and globalization.

    Advice to Management

Textura's core legacy product has a lot of opportunities with the new management team. Hopefully they retain the focus on customers, service levels and process flexibility (within reason) that are at the core of Textura's culture and success.

  5. "Great group of people & a fast-paced team-oriented culture"

    Pros

Great group of people with a genuine desire to deliver the best possible product to their customers. Strong overall leadership (& in areas such as Services and Marketing) that values out of the box thinking and gives employees autonomy; there are plenty of opportunities to expand roles & responsibilities (take ownership of projects, etc), as long as you are proactive.

    Cons

The various companies under the Textura umbrella (& now Oracle), operate fairly independently, which can lead to a lot of ambiguity and inconsistency among the divisions. The company struggled a bit with identifying itself as either a small, nimble entrepreneurial firm or a large public corporate org with somewhat antiquated & overly structured processes.

    Advice to Management

Hopefully Latista can keep it's own authentic culture after the most recent acquisition and continue to grow and thrive.

I have been working at Textura Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Nice office in a great location downtown
    - Excellent amenities w/ snacks and coffee
    - Now a subsidiary of Oracle

    Cons

GradeBeam has become a sinking ship under upper management. A major lack in leadership—GradeBeam is an absolute circus. Low company morale, massive turnover, plummets in sales, disgruntled employees, and constantly dealing with unsatisfied clients are par for the course. Not to mention, there have been some alarmingly questionable hires, including folks with known criminal backgrounds.

    - Low compensation and the product isn't exactly flying off the shelves
    - Management refuses to acknowledge issues with product, even will ignore client complaints
    - Practically impossible to be promoted
    - Will ignore egregious employee misconduct as long as deals are being closed

    Advice to Management

There needs to be a much stronger connect between mgmt & employees. The culture at this place is deteriorated.
