I have been working at Thales full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Thales work culture is open and empowering with great benefits. The 9/80 work schedule is wonderful as every other weekend is 3 days long. Projects are cutting edge in the area of augmented reality which is booming. Thales Visionix products are flying on many US and foreign military platforms with great results. Its personally satisfying to speak with our customers as they really like the equipment and use it every day. As a result sales are growing as is the staff. The Thales Group provides ample opportunities for career growth both here in the US and internationally. By far the best place I have ever worked.

    Cons

I have no complaints at this time.

I have been working at Thales full-time

    Pros

The company is amazing and the products and services you get to work on are cutting-edge and market leading. The people are great and the management team is passionate about what they do. The opportunities to travel to new places and see new things is high, but do be prepared to travel.

    Cons

Working outside of Europe for a predominantly European company can be difficult culturally. The matrix structure of the organization is also challenging and the time to understand and integrate can be long and difficult. There is also a 'who do you know' mentality to advancement and mobility.

    Advice to Management

The company needs to empower its regional markets to ensure they are able to provide the best direction to its in-country businesses and ensure the global direction of the business is able to be the strongest. This also means appropriately and more strategically aligning resources where they are needed most, and that is on-the-ground in the markets where the growth and business potential is.
