The hours worked were steady and predictable. The pay itself wasn't too bad and no weekends.
The environment was safe, quiet, though sometimes dull.
Very little communication between boss and employees when really needed. The expectation was to immediately be able to do an unfamiliar task, or else. Constantly told that by boss herself she was a "drill sergeant" and a general lack of compassion for the employee as a human being. No room for advancement.
Advice to Management
Start treating employees like humans. Stop expecting them to have a crystal ball or to be able to instantly learn new software and procedures, and realize that when someone is learning, they make mistakes. Don't be surprised that your employees don't know what you want when you cloister yourself in a room and can barely be bothered to grunt hello in the morning.
