    Pros

Lots of health care data makes you realize why hospitals need us more than ever such as for reducing care variation or optimizing revenue and cost. Data First philosophy is big push to build enterprise analytics.

    Cons

RAPID needs to be quicker. Sometimes it takes long to make decisions with a clear D (decision maker).

    Advice to Management

Faster decision making. Also PMs need to build clear roadmap for long term goals.

    Pros

auto flush toilet, sensory water faucets, rotating door entrance

    Cons

Regurgitated material sold to members con-job, nepotism-oriented promotion cycle, elitist ivy league boys' club, fake kumbaya morals of Career Management, MRS Degree type A minded girls only in it to bag a husband up-talking wenches, sad and tragic technology platform that lacks direction and any so-called expertise, insulting pay, ridiculous review criteria, back-to-back meetings w no time left for work, managers who need to be managed, stuck in a bubble grandfathered-in-gilded-caged inexperienced in real-world business acumen executive team that care only about money

    Advice to Management

Stop with the self congratulatory bs, learn how to make good decisions

I worked at The Advisory Board Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Young people, lots of stretch opportunities, availability to get promoted within a year, move departments, there is a lot of great work life balance and incentives.

    Cons

Too many young people, not a very professional environment, the retention rate is pretty low with marketing associates as you are cold calling all day.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to train their managers better as some just get promoted based on tenure, not management skill. Marketing Associates should be compensated more as their retention rate is very low. Try not to switch managers every 6 months.

    Cons

Constantly innovating on business which is great but would value a bit more time to test new innovations before shifting.

I worked at The Advisory Board Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The benefits are great. The PTO is outstanding. People are helpful and kind and they really want to make health care and higher education better. The technology world is full of smart people innovating as best they can. I genuinely enjoyed working here.

    Cons

It can be a little "groupthink" sometimes, and management has a hard time pivoting when there's a problem. Information is power and a lot of people like to hoard that power. There are so many levels of management!

    Pros

Many managers care about their employees and truly want the best for them.

    Cons

The performance technologies division of the company changes it's organizational structure every January, leading to tedious change in an environment where individuals cannot be successful because their performance review metrics are continuously changing.

    Advice to Management

Stick to one philosophy of management and stop making changes. Forecasting should also be more accurate to eliminate layoffs.
