I have been working at The Advocator Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-Very hard work does not go unnoticed and you will be compensated for it. - The Employee Engagement Committee allows the opportunity to engage with other departments and partake in fun activities. - Casual dress just kicked in 3/2019- Woo Jeans! -They are moving away from schedules and are going toward a "working hours" method- Yay, more flexibility! - You are helping people who need help, the work can be rewarding...

    Cons

-Although hard work does not go unnoticed, it is hard to move up the ladder as new growth opportunities arise very slowly. -While possible, it is very hard to prioritize your work flow because there is always something new added to it daily/ weekly/ monthly. - Regular Audits (3 or more a month) can cause anxiety and frustration- but are used to help you improve. - The quarterly employee review "Score Card" takes...

    Advice to Management

The Retention Rate is low in the ICRC department, but seems like it is improving. Continue to listen to your employees and adjust work based off of the reasonable recommendations. The Client Advocate role needs to be tiered, from phone que worker to senior client advocate (because we are all aware no one enjoys the phones). Another way of getting rid of or limiting phone time, would be to have clients routed to claim...

I have been working at The Advocator Group full-time

    Pros

I started working at The Advocator Group about a year ago and it's a great company to work for; when I first started I was trained appropriately for my position and felt like I fit in with my teammates. Everyone works as a team, management is professional, understanding and approachable. Every year the whole company gets together for an outing at the all company meeting- it's a great way to get to know fellow teammates...

I worked at The Advocator Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Bagel Friday -Some wonderful teammates who made the shifts bearable. -after work activities such as paint nights and company outings

    Cons

I worked at the advocator group for almost a year after graduating college. While I was able to gain some valuable skills and knowledge at the job, I wouldn't recommend it to any one I care about. While I was there about half of my teammates would only do the "easy" tasks and appointments and management did not seem to care when it was brought up. The work load was backlogged...

I have been working at The Advocator Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I have been at the Advocator Group for 2 years. I have been through many changes during my time here, not all of them welcomed. Although the constant change can be frustrating at times, I remind myself that this is a growing company and we are bound to experience "growing pains" in the process. What is important to me is that senior leadership continue to be responsive to employee suggestions and continuously try to improve...

    Cons

Negativity - Like many things in life, you get what you give at work. If employees continue to focus on the negative aspects of change instead of embracing it, then they will never be happy here. Change is a good thing. It means we are growing. It means you'll have a job a year from now. It means you were here from the beginning and got to be a part of something great. communication - with the constant change going...

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to your employees. Improve upon communication. Provide ongoing training and education as even seasoned employees develop bad habits and need a refresher sometimes. I have been working at The Advocator Group full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

I have been working for The Advocator Group for nearly 10 years and from time to time I look them up on Glassdoor because I care about the company and my co-workers and I’m interested in what others think. Lately, I’ve been disheartened by some of the negative reviews. I couldn’t disagree with them more. The Advocator Group is a great place to work. I have been working at The Advocator Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Working at The Advocator Group for the duration that I have has allowed me to see a plethora of changes, both good and bad, in the workflow, organizational design and other areas. No company is perfect and you would be hard pressed to find a company that every single employee is happy every minute of every day. The work is hard, the work is draining, the work comes in in large quantities but at the end of the day the...

Absolutely, but they are not the only things. Anyone who would say no to more money or better health insurance is lying but that is not always the most important thing. To some individuals it may be and for those individuals it may be...

    Advice to Management

Implement continuous education programs that are consistent across all levels (support, management, senior management) about the internal workflow and the Social Security processes. Those that have been here for at least a year will see a very different training program than those now and a consistent ground work will provide for a knowledgeable staff. Continue to train middle management on supervising tactics in...

    Pros

5-10 minute commute to work. Bagel Fridays.

    Cons

I have watched people who have been dedicated to their jobs, give 100% to their jobs daily, and get fired, or have their position "eliminated" because their is no longer a need. I am sorry, but it is unacceptable. The way that this company chews people up and spits them out is ridiculous. I've been working at The Advocator Group for a little while now and so far it's been a positive experience compared to my previous jobs. Lack of communication, sometimes I think there is lack of communication in the office with supervisors, few times I've been called out on mistakes that were not my fault. Email confrontation could have been avoided if the supervisors took time to find out the route of the problem instead of making assumptions.
