I have been working at The Aerospace Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Most corporate savvy and unbiased integrity with great pay and benefits.

    Cons

There are not very many downsides to working at The Aerospace Corporation unless you desire moving your career to a location where Aerospace is not :-)

    Advice to Management

Keep looking out for the mission and people that work for Aerospace. Some times its a thankless job especially when bad news has to be delivered to the client. When this does happen, its really good to know the company will stand by you.

    Pros

Lots of opportunities to learn new skills and a flat organizational structure. Your ideas are heard and can be acted upon with recognition for your achievements.

    Cons

Growing pains, some will feel discomfort with change as most people like the feeling of status-quo.

    Advice to Management

Be open to listening to thoughts and opinions of those with boots on the ground every day.

I have been working at The Aerospace Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Reasonable hours, reasonable benefits, good starting pay (but make sure to negotiate high right off the bat because there are no bonuses, stocks, an small raises so earnings upside is pretty low comparatively), insider access to many programs and contractors

    Cons

If you're an engineer who likes working with hardware, this place isn't for you. There's extremely limited interaction with any hardware and it's hard to develop a sense of ownership for any of the programs due to not interacting with hardware ever. It's essentially a company comprised entirely of consultant engineers who do analysis and advice the Air Force but don't engineer anything. That can be fine for some, but just be aware.

The work culture is much older and behind-the-times compared to software/tech and places like SpaceX, Tesla, etc. Most people, especially the older engineers, are very secretive and not open to freely communicating and frequent engagement. They'd have a heart attack if they had to work in an open workspace it seems. It's getting better with how many young people are being hired, but the office environment is very old-school, not well-suited for collaboration and friendly interaction. You have to enjoy working by yourself and being pretty independent and alone.

    Advice to Management

Be more flexible with working hours. It's mildly absurd that, despite being salaried employees, you can't flex your hours a bit between weeks. Work 42 hours last week but can only manage 38 this week? No flexing, too bad, take 2 hours of vacation, despite being a salaried employee. Also, the ability to work remotely (both the possibility, and the functionality of doing so) would help.
