not really, If anything, the fact that we can't earn a commission or tips is a little unfortunate

Hope they’ve shaped up since Covid

Working independently Flexible scheduling Nordstrom benefits
Cons
Response to Covid; changed their cancelation policy at the very beginning of the pandemic to make it impossible for customers with weddings canceled due to Covid to get their money back. For most, they were the only vendor who took advantage of customers this way, as venues, caterers, etc. were much more generous, even with OUT policies in place (which TBT had but changed!)

Pros
The people we work close with are amazing, direct leadership is amazing, caring, understanding, and try to help as much as they can. Pay is good.
Cons
The benefits that lead me to accept this position are changing rapidly and not for the good. Upper management and “T&P” (it’s more of an HR now), are making changing the employee handbook as they go, even though it was approved for the year. Holidays and holiday pay have been changed, Leaving many of us scrambling to change our plans with family and travel dates. Customer care is treated bad, showrooms and warehouses got a celebration put together by “T&P” for Thanksgiving but we got nothing, not even a happy thanksgiving e-mail, post, etc. before we would get little gifts in the mail for all major holidays. Communication on changes are super last minute, and typically not communicated at all. I’m sure our holiday bonus will be skipped this year as well since last year we got it the beginning of December and they haven’t even so much as mentioned it to us this year, even though revenue is up big time this year, they keep telling us. And we have less internal employees than we did last year.

Pros
Fun problems to solve while being both customer and employee centric. Adapted to growth quickly and responded with eagerness and tenacity
Cons
Not all teams are in "the know" at the same time which can require backtracking and asking questions as we go. Minor opportunity given how amazing things have been.

No longer a good company to work for
Jan 21, 2023 - Customer Service in Salt Lake City, UTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great coworkers, WFH, set schedule
Cons
The company has changed drastically in the past year. New manager, letting go of supervisors due to moving to a different state despite it being a WFH job. Did not listen to any feedback we give in any of the surveys. They get back at associates when we give them the feedback THEY asked for. When we bring it up, it's ignored. Extremely low pay compared to other companies, bonuses and incentives are few and far between. They treat the customer service team like they are the lowest of the low. All the culture has been tossed out the door despite them raving about it when people are getting hired on. Went through layoffs in 2022 and they are not being transparent about layoffs in 2023. They just look at us as numbers now and it's sad.

Would Chose This Company/Job Again and Again
Nov 29, 2022 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
TBT has been the trifecta for me. I found a company, role, and product that I truly feel fulfilled with each. The care the company has towards its associates is amazing. I have been in corporate retail my entire career and have never experienced anything like what TBT is offering.
Cons
Being a smaller company than where I have come from, it was a learning curve to get used to process and feel comfortable creating new ones and speaking up when something isn't working right. Not really a con, just it could have been a surprising adjustment if someone hadn't warned me about it before hiring.

Pros
I definitely liked the job opportunities given here and also the opportunities given to younger people. Although it can be a double-edged sword, they allow for ideas to flow and at times, can prove beneficial.
Cons
Higher leadership teams can be volatile with their decisions. One time its quality, other times its production.

Growing Company with Investment in Culture & People
Jan 23, 2023 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
+ Remote work with flexible hours + Experienced leadership team + Good benefits & perks (healthcare, WFH setup, monthly reimbursement, cell phone) + Solid pay + Frequent opportunities for feedback to Talent & People (HR) team and leadership + Competitive product that is better than other options (ex: mens warehouse, gen tux)
Cons
- Could improve updates to employees about company updates and what is happening across different teams - Some people that don't do their jobs well are retained for too long
