    Pros

Easy job if you're comfortable talking to and helping people.

    Cons

Not many opportunities for raises or advancement as a part-time employee.

I worked at The Bridgewater Club part-time

    Pros

It was really laid back and a fun place to work. Good pay for high schooler plus the tips if you can spark up a decent conversation with the club members. Typically pretty generous people to work with and around. Even met some celebrities like Jim Irsay and Dwight Freeney!

    Cons

Not very flexible on the hours you work. Standard 8 hour shifts am/pm. Felt understaffed at times but I suppose not having to divide the tips up to more people made up for it

I worked at The Bridgewater Club part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The employees are so nice and fun to work with! Most of the club members are also really kind and not stuck up, like I honestly expected them to be. They really enjoyed talking to me and liked getting to know the workers at the club.

    Cons

As a part-time employee, my income was just supplemental and I didn't expect much. That being said, I would have liked earning a little more (like anyone I guess!) but it was barely over minimum wage.

I worked at The Bridgewater Club part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I started working here as a high school student and was paid $8.50 as a base salary. That did not include all the tips that I made working in the green jacket or driving the cart. The location and club house are absolutely beautiful, events were incredibly fun to work, staff quickly became some of my best friends, and they gave me all of the hours that I requested. Plus, from getting to know members, I ended up becoming a sitter for 3 families that paid me over $11 an hour!

    Cons

Working holidays kind of stunk, but on the bright side, most holiday events didn't last long so we were back with our families quickly. I cannot honestly think of very many cons.

    Advice to Management

Do not change a thing! I really enjoyed working for you!

I worked at The Bridgewater Club part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You will meet a lot of different type of people and have the opportunity to deal with different areas of the business.

    Cons

The lack of consistency and talent at the club is low. There is a high employee turnover rate and not a high caliber of employees there.

    Advice to Management

Pay your lower level workers better, or deal with substandard service and care.

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

You get to work outdoors. There are employee discounts on food and in the Pro Shop. Being recently built, the club and the golf course offer really nice facilities.

    Cons

Upper management has no direction for employee growth. Rarely any raises. The club is ran by an outside consultant that has a main purpose to make money for the owners and the consulting firm.

    Advice to Management

Have an employee handbook for all employees, not just certain employees. Mandate yearly job reviews for all employees. Have better documentation of employee performance and behavior.

    Pros

    Very flexible work schedule
Able to network with very successful members
    Dynamic workplace, consistently changing tasks
    Mid-level managers are VERY good

    Cons

Work tends to be seasonal (much more in the summer)
Very difficult to move up in the business
Upper management has major disconnect with entry-level employees

    Advice to Management

Try a little harder to get to know the entry-level employees. Many issues/problems are not addressed because it's so difficult to have them raised to upper management.

    Pros

    Great starting wages
    Fun place to work
    VERY flexible with scheduling
Solid fellow employees to be around
    Good flexibility with hours

    Cons

Upper management has little to no contact with lower level employees
    Impossible to earn a raise
Many employees aren't vetted well for work ethic
    Very little upward mobility

    Advice to Management

Make new employees feel a little more welcome. Training isn't the best at preparing employees to join the work force.
