I worked at The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

*BHMC recently joined in a partnership with two other hospitals and hopefully that will bring up its professionalism, quality and operations.

    Cons

*BHMC is stuck in the 20th Century when it comes to operations, technology pay and benefits for non-union staff.
    *Too much nepotism
*Incompetent line staff and the refusal/inability to get rid of them is going to be the death of BHMC.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate, recognize and reward clinic managers.

Don't bury your head in the sand when you know of abusive leaders (directors, VP level) and their bad behavior that is running excellent employees away from the company. Senior leadership nor Human Resources cares about mid-level manager morale or how mid-level managers are treated by their VP.

I worked at The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked with Great physicians who went above and beyond to makee sure that patients where getting the best care. Even if it meant that they would not be financially componsated for the work they did for patients.

    Cons

Management and hire-ups only cared about the funds they where bringing in. Even if it meant over working individuals or stepping on hard working individuals.

    Advice to Management

Consider every patient to be your mother or father, your daughter or your son, your brother or your sister instead of how much money each procedure done on them is worth.

    Pros

The multidisciplinary staff was my favorite part. I had a wonderful supervisor who helped me gain hours toward my mental health licensure.

    Cons

The pay is pretty low which makes sense as I was an entry level clinician. It was still a great experience, despite the low pay.
