    Pros

Being able to be a business owner, recruiter and building guest relationships! Everything about this job is amazing, love it.

    Cons

Only cons I can think of is having to deal with lazy teammates, so many different schedules and emotional staff.

    Advice to Management

Must be able to work as a selling manager and top recruiter.

I have been working at The Buckle part-time

    Pros

    40% of items
    Great team in my store
    3%Commission

    Cons

The company itself dosent care about their part time employees.
They only pay 6.50 per hour
When they come check on the store. There's some of the corporate that treat you like dirt.

I worked at The Buckle part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The only pro is the 40% discount.

    Cons

    Snotty co-workers
    Constant turnaround
Required to monitor total store sales by the hour to compare with historical sales. Some employees would be proud and excited if the sales were higher than the last year's, and stressed if not, but the irony was that the employees were not rewarded for achievements.
Required to cold-call 15 past customers every day, "reminding them" to come to Buckle, mentioning current (crappy) sales
Manager would hire people who were clearly under-qualified, then let them go within 2 weeks
RELENTLESS pressure to sell. This includes carrying around a little tally sheet and having to mark off that you asked each and every customer to try on: 2 jeans, 3 shirts, 1 accessory, 1 cologne/perfume, 2 pairs of shoes, and more. No matter what they came in for! You literally were told to just throw them over the door if they didn't ask.
Team meetings that would last for several hours and hold employees way later. I always said I was busy to avoid them.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to use extreme hard-sales techniques in a clothing store. I found it hard to even talk to some customers because they came prepared to face employees in the store, each time saying "I don't want anything I just came in for a shirt I don't need any help." And I don't blame them. We were forced to harass customers whilst the store manager breathed down our necks. You're running your company into the ground with the high pressure sales.

    Pros

I don't have any pros, this place is corrupt and honestly the way they treat their employees is ridiculous and unfair. Not to mention the fact that you had to sell stuff to make money.

    Cons

    Over worked
    Paid minimum wage
    Worked off of commission
Have to be in everyone's face to sell something
    There are favorites.

I worked at The Buckle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun fast paced environment, family like culture and great guests.

    Cons

Very unorganized. Under paid and over worked. Expected to complete a number of tasks that can't always get done do to guests walking into the store. The feedback can be draining and seem like drama.

    Advice to Management

Pay your top talent better to have more of an incentive to stay around and want a store. Also have a higher priority of advertising to gain competive foot traffic. Maybe create local HR/recruiting positions to have better quality of teammates, MTs, and managers.
