I have been working at The Buckle full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The team I worked with was like a family to me. I also gained exceptional customer service skills while working there.

    Cons

Management could have been more developed; the store manager played favorites which sometimes made it an unfair work environment. The turnover rate was high as well so we were constantly having to develop new teammates.

I have been working at The Buckle part-time

    Pros

The manager here is very great
    the atmosphere is enjoyable
hours are pretty flexible, especially for students in college or working another job
The 40% discount is pretty nice too

    Cons

Sometimes I feel that I am not paid enough for how hard I work
There is a level of autonomy, but I find that I do not always have as much freedom as I would like to do my job the way I see fit.

I worked at The Buckle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Cute clothes high prices good store location like the brands

    Cons

Multiple complaints about managers not resolving customer complaints, sides with the kids that work there the customer is NOT right and for that they go shop at The high end retailer next door where the customer IS right. Adults acting like a teenagers even the middle aged customers are high fived like kids, they don't like it and they say it.

    Advice to Management

    Fresh faces in the store

    Update sales training videos

I worked at The Buckle part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Large discount on the clothing, basically get to be somebodies personal shopper

    Cons

Even with large discount on the clothes, I was not able to afford the clothing there (though I still dressed in a style like it could be from there),
Paid under Washington state minimum wage by almost $2.00,
Was talked badly about and rumors spread by management like I was in high school again,
Management would talk badly about co-workers/employees in front of other employees (including me),
I was told by management to "flirt with the mexican guys" because they spent the most money & bought store credit cards
Co-workers constantly 'stealing' customers and taking your commission on sales,
was told I was full-time when applied, but only got part-time hours and out of no where didn't receive hours anymore and when I tried to contact management the were conveniently never in the store

    Advice to Management

Do not talk badly about employees to other employees around other employees

I worked at The Buckle part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun upbeat atmosphere, always changing, new product always coming, most of the teammates and team leaders were great to work with

    Cons

Commission based, which if you work hard is good but if your not busy your paycheck suffers. Sometimes it can become a hostile environment with coworkers because of the commission

I worked at The Buckle part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Coworkers were some of the best, most supportive people I've ever met.
You meet a lot of interesting people.
Great job for making friends and maintaining a social life.

    Cons

The management at the store I worked at wasn't very helpful or encouraging.
    Little to no training
    High turnover rate
Lies about pay raises every 6 months even if you're hitting sales goals.

    Advice to Management

Teach the sales team how to sell, don't make them sit and watch hours of cheesy videos without a real world outlet and expect perfect results.
