I have been working at The Centers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The Centers provides much needed mental health care for a variety of mental health problems.

    Cons

Upper management was aloof and not really aware of the challenges that regular staff must overcome to meet the needs of the clients. Now, they are all resigning or already gone. No cost loving raises for regular employees, no raises of any kind for regular employees for over 9 years. Not a lot of opportunity for advancement, unless you are really good at BSing. Barely enough funding for programs. The list goes on...

    Advice to Management

If there was any management left to advise: quit treating yourselves to annual raises when your staff have not received a raise in the last decade. Stop ignoring the needs of our clients, they are the entire reason The Centers exists. Stop overloading your regular staff with enough work for 4 people and then punishing them for not getting it all done in a regular 40 hour work week. Give credit to those staff who work so hard and spend their own money to get materials and training needed to perform their jobs properly.

    Pros

It's getting worse when I never thought it could. The CEO has resigned, the marketing director has resigned, the COO has resigned which means another round of executive officers will be coming soon There's no one else to fire when the new Execs are hired. Those who should be gone are still here. (They know how to play the game.) Good, loyal, knowledgeable, employees were fired because of the stupid choices of each new round of execs. Moral can't get any lower. In the street I hear no one wants to work here.

    Cons

The CEO should have been gone long ago, the COO only showed up to work 2-3 days a week, she should have been gone a long time ago too. I can't see it getting better. Those still here are supposed to do the work of four, no pay raises in over 8 years (except the top and their admin staff). Each week I think this will be the week we all get the pink slip and the door closes.

    Advice to Management

There's no one left to advise. At this point trying to raise moral is impossible. My rating is -10 but they don't have that on the rate scale.

I have been working at The Centers full-time

    Pros

The staff while they have some faults are terrific they truly want to help people

    Cons

Haven't had a salary or cost-of-living increase in over 6 years. Leadership SUCKS!

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your staff or they will leave in droves. Management needs to come off their high horses and see it's the little people that make this thing run. Upper management staff are getting increases on the regular, but ignore line staff who actually do the work. GIVE US A RAISE!!!

I have been working at The Centers full-time

    Pros

This week attended the first educational fair and was able to talk with the CEO. Being able to personally talk with him and him explain our programs was helpful. I enjoyed completing my training in a fun environment. HR is much more approachable than in the past.

    Cons

Still transitioning with new changes implemented in December, but hope it will resolve soon.

    Advice to Management

Spend time getting to know your staff. Hope to see more stuff engaging employees like the educational fair

No pros. Only cons. Read other reviews. We can't all be making this up.

    Cons

It's hard to make a difference in mental health when administration have serious mental issues themselves.

I worked at The Centers full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The purpose of the agency is to provide mental health treatment to clients who are suffering mental and behavioral health disorders, so the work itself is a pro.

    Cons

CEO, COO and all the top managers are either impotent or cruel.

    Advice to Management

Seek mental health treatment for yourselves. You are very unhealthy.
