Don't work here
Jul 1, 2017 - Prep Cook/Dishwasher in Fresno, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Reduced meal on breaks and free coffee
Cons
Management turned horribly lazy after restaurant opened. Favoritism. New employees were in charge of dishwashers. People acted as if they were doing work to make themselves look good. Managers do NOT care about you. Had an accident and when asking for help a manager told me to go away and get back to work because they were busy. Talked to other staff members, waiters did not split tips properly. Worked 80+ hours a week. Break and shift meal not guaranteed. Almost no days off. Staff came in drunk and smelling like weed. Also saw employees taking liquor. Helped prep food but no additional pay. No career advancement. Working here is like running a race and everyone is told they're in 1st place and that they're going to be rewarded.

Pros
You get to eat free food in the training. If you are a seasoned server, there is great earning potential with the "turn and burn" method. It is almost always busy.
Cons
Guests are mostly tourists and tip less than 10%, they are also rude. Management makes you feel horrible about making small mistakes. Management likes to disappear into the office at the end of a shift. The service staff doesn't work as a team. Bussers ignore stations when servers don't give them extra tips. Kitchen will presell 80% of the tickets making food runners and servers wait for the food. The glassware, plates and silverware are excessively dirty all of the time. The floors are very slippery even with sfc. The management doesn't intervene when employees are being rude to eachother. They do not allow you to take even a 15 minute break when working a double shift. Praise is only given to good shop reports and kitchen employees. The management plays favorites and the employees are afraid to speak up in fear of losing their jobs.

No Growth, Breaks & Bad Management
Feb 26, 2015 - Dessert Finisher/Barista in Sugar Land, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The pay was decent & good coworkers. Company is always busy.
Cons
Working over 10 hours on your feet with NO given break was unfair & illogical. The managers don't know what they're doing & would constantly over work you without appreciation & would only have 1 employee do everything especially if you're the only staff in that department for the day. If you have any fractures, I advise you not to work here if you break something you'll receive no workers comp & will fight against you for unemployment.

Pros
I worked at two cheesecake factories, one with very good management and one with poor management. I made good money at each, mainly due to the volume of customers not the quality of the tips.
Cons
Long shifts with no breaks if it is busy Had to tip out a lot based on total sales, not based on tips received.

What I like about this company is that you are given the chance to proof your work capabilities and once proven to management you have unlimited potential to make money. My colleagues are my family and my managers are just as kind. I love how the company actively participates in giving back to the community. We keep things up with trends by introducing new menus every 6 months.
Cons
Long hours usually without breaks or very short breaks in between tables. gratutity is no longer allowed and parties on the weekend are the worse (sometimes you make NO money). Food running shifts are stupid and a waste of time considering it isn't hourly. I like to refer to it as a charitable shift because the compensation is a joke.
