    I worked at The Child Center of NY part-time

    Pros

    Child center is very understanding and the people are all different types of people and there all very friendly. They give you more hours when asked for and they make you feel like a part of one big team.

    Cons

    Not much chances to be late or absent.

    I have been working at The Child Center of NY full-time

    Pros

    Diversity among peers and Mid Management who are genuine. Support each other to succeed.

    Cons

    Senior Management deceiving and never around to offer guidance. Never taking responsibility. Constantly making a mockery of staff members. This unprofessional behavior is known by many. No corrective action has been taken to prevent this behavior. The lack of involvement by Senior Management confirms their support of this conduct at the workplace.

    Advice to Management

    “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

    A 360 degree assessment should be conducted for Senior Management.

    Pistachios are overrated.

    - Heavy favoritism, and it shows

    Great benefits, especially if you are part of the union. Encountered many supportive staff and supervisors.

    Cons

    The amount of paperwork that is required to be completed by a certain deadline can be stressful.

    You get to go on trips with kids like Coney Island, if kids parents throw parties you get free food.

    Cons

    You have to take care of kids, escort them to bathroom if they are young, and some kids are really bad and difficult to deal with.

    Do not favor employees over others, everyone should be on same level if they have the same position

    Friendly environment. Familiar location. Child-first mindset and attitude, which given for the company name, shows their dedication to bettering the lives of the youth.

    Cons

    Can be unprofessional and chaotic in certain aspects. Very restrictive in terms of job responsibilities, pay rate low considering position.
