    I worked at The Children's Place full-time

    Pros

the company has a big name
you learn a lot of what you can and cannot handle during stressful time

    Cons

commuting to new jersey is between 15 min to 1 hour depending on traffic
    overworked
during the busy season, my daily estimated work time was from 7am to 1am in order to get the majority of the work done
the merchant team submits the approvals of the production items late (mostly at 6pm) and you have to submit the approval emails to manufacturers the day off so expect to leave around 7/8pm.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people instead of pushing the employee to do two jobs

I have been working at The Children's Place part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None really, just that they have good clothing deals and are flexible with your hours but other than that nothing.

    Cons

Horrible customer service.. sad to say I am embarrassed to be representing this company. No one greets the customers or ask if they need help. Was left to figure stuff out on my own no one trained me. Put me to use the cash register on first day and had attitude when I would ask for help.

    Advice to Management

    Show more respect to customers

    I worked at The Children's Place part-time

    Pros

I really can't think of any. Sorry

    Cons

The work load was too much to handle with the hours they gave us, only 2 people each shift (am/pm), even during the holiday season. They expected way too much for what you were given (pay wise and workload). All they care about it making money and opening credit cards. But the customers were the WORST! I have never in my life encountered so many MEAN people in my entire life. Getting yelled at and cursed at was pretty much a daily thing and it was really sad. The store I worked in closed end of Jan 2016, they wanted me in another store but I refused. I will never work for TCP again.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees and treat them right, their job is tough and emotionally draining at times. Care about them and encourage them and do nice things for them.

    Pros

    401k and 30% employee discount
Quarterly you will receive a 40% discount for the weekend. However, during this time they will increase their prices.

    Cons

Upper management do not practice what they preach. Rarely visit and when they do it's usually in preparation for a corporate visit.

    Advice to Management

Manage performance with direct feedback more frequently

I worked at The Children's Place full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Learned a lot my first 5 years with the company before they changed everything from rewards, to Credit Cards, to merging retail and outlet.

    Cons

As a store manager I went through 4 DMs in a year how can they expect us to succeed with no support and turn over with this company is a joke

    Advice to Management

Build a strong team because you will really need them if you ever plan on only working 45hr weeks.
