    Pros

    Pay, customers, associates, discounts,
Other than that this companys culture is difficult if you like your life not job for you. Will spend 50-70 hours a week in store.

    Cons

Shipment,Stock, paperwork, payroll, no life balance, little to no training, unnessary floorsets and updates.

    Advice to Management

Transfer old clothes out to make room for new clothes. Stores would be so much easier to maintain and sale thru. Might actually get done with some of the shipment and paper work if 10 bundles of the same shirt wasnt sent out in 4 diffrent boxes.

I have been working at The Children's Place part-time

    Pros

Ability to work with availability... most of the time.

    Cons

Terrible management up to district levels. District doesn't even follow company policies.
Company can't compensate their employees i.e, a lead will make the same as as associate. Leads carry higher responsibility for the same pay as as associate

    Advice to Management

Your employees are people too. You're not more important than them, show some respect.

    I worked at The Children's Place full-time

    Pros

I would say the only great thing about working here was the start off salary.

    Cons

During my experience working at TCP I had my ups and downs. Employees could get away with anything. I tried numerous times to Fill out corrective action forms for calling out, leaving on breaks, being late, dress code and managers being rude to associates. Nothing ever happened when I would send things to DM. The management team now has a tcp selfie page on Facebook.... how is this acceptable and how are they are still working there when they are posting pictures of themselves while working on social media. I was and am still very disappointed with how this company takes action when store policy is being broken.

    Advice to Management

I truly hope you start off with a great team in place, because if not you will have an extremely hard time not being able to start fresh with a reliable and respectful team.

I have been working at The Children's Place part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible hours, easy advancement opportunities

    Cons

Low pay, high stress, low hours

    Advice to Management

The management needs to pay their employees more. Employees are constantly multitasking and pushing themselves to do what they can with the limited amount of hours they are given only to be paid a little more than minimum wage.

I have been working at The Children's Place full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Job is easy and had advancement opportunities. Lots of paid time off time offered and health and dental benefits are available.

    Cons

Lots of restructuring. Product turnover is too quick. Pay is terrible and company shows no compassion for the little guy.

    Advice to Management

People stay when they're paid well and appreciated. Show them that respect and your turnover will decrease and you will see the profitability you hope for. Actions speak louder of words; walk the walk if you talk the talk.

    Pros

    - people in the company are awesome

    Cons

    - pay is rough, I tried to go back to this job after a year off and the most they would offer me was minimum wage.
    - you have to be at least 18 and start at minimum wage
    - long hours but I mean it's retail

    Advice to Management

pay employees fairly. If they have years of retail and management experience, they should be making more than some 15 year old bagging groceries.

I have been working at The Children's Place full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits, great team on the store level.

    Cons

Low pay, few hours and lack of respect from upper management. I recently worked at a store that closed. Our regional director came to the store to pick up some tables. The store was completely emptied out and cleaned so we could vacate the premises that afternoon. He walked in loaded up the tables and left without so much as a hello, thank you, or good luck. There were 3 of us in the store, exhausted from the huge workload, and we just looked at each other dumbfounded by the rudeness of this man. I myself had been with the company 12 years and put a lot of blood sweat and tears into the store. We would be written up or fired if we ever acted like that to a customer...same should hold true for those in upper management!

    Advice to Management

Treat others the way you want to be treated!

    Cons

    Discount can't be shared
Company doesn't invest in employees or the high performance stores.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees because they are the ones dealing with the customers all the time and know what works.
