I worked at The Children's Place part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is a great discount if you need the clothes, and my coworkers were great people for the most part. Scheduling was flexible if you got your time off request in on time

    Cons

Some of the managers don't communicate, people would call off requiring the use of people's on call shifts. This is okay except when you already worked 5 hours and a half hour before you leave you find out you're going on break because you need to stay an additional 3 hours.

    Advice to Management

Let employees know ahead of time that you require at least one open weekend day.

    Pros

Benefits, PTO, sick days. Working with people, always something to do.

    Cons

Pay is not worth the work. Sometimes the full time lead gets less then the part time. You carry the same responsibility as the Asm and crap pay. You will work 38+ hours a week which can be a pro and a con. There is no standard way to train, you are just thrown in and expected to get it. Management team is extremely unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

Work on getting a standard training implemented. Be professional.

    Pros

Enjoy working with store managers and teams.

    Cons

Upper level management is living in a fantasy world. They send 25 people to one store every week and expect all others stores to look exactly the same with just 2 people.

    Advice to Management

Live in the real world. Treat your team with respect. If we came close to the CEO Jane we were told to never make eye contact.
