    I worked at The Children's Place part-time

    Pros

Friendly staff, enjoyable atmosphere, relatively set schedule

    Cons

I was hired on as part time and somehow was scheduled to work almost 40 hours each and every week, which did not work for my schedule. After talking to my boss, she minimized my days working but kept my hours the same. I loved working there, but I was unable to keep my job due to the lack of employees at our store causing the need for my hours to be so high.

I have been working at The Children's Place part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Fun environment to work in

    Cons

Customers are always angry and the company works you into the ground. The floor sets are always changing for reasons no one knows and they push credit cards so much it makes everyone so stressed out.

I have been working at The Children's Place part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Very good training
    Chance for advancement
Hours (at least for me are pretty good and I'm a sales associate)
    No call in shifts
Can get 40 hour week during tax free week

    Cons

    Underpaid
    Dress code is stupid
Raises are based on the stores performance and aren't really raises
Have to hear complaints about why we don't compare to online.. (here's why because of people who shoplift and therefore prices go up)

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the CEO because lets be honest.. she's clueless of how to run a company and about getting people to sign up for credit cards! The reason why I say this is because you're pressured to get apps in but if they don't get approved the customer gets po'd because they don't get anything for take the time to apply! Corporate is out of touch with stores needs and employees needs for raises! And that's why employees leave for money and benefits! As for someone who's been there for over 2 years I've seen a lot of people come and go because of the money and the fact being only full time gets insurance and vacation time not part time( like myself) GIVE PART TIME EMPLOYEES WHO BEEN THERE A YEAR OR MORE VACATION TIME!!!!

I worked at The Children's Place part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I loved the people I was working with! It wasn't a hard job, but it was a basic mall job that was crazy on the weekends. Overall, pretty easy work that wasn't really fun at all.

    Cons

It is miserable cleaning up the store after a weekend day. People do not watch their kids when they enter the store, and there are clothes and shoes EVERYWHERE! Lots of people stole from the store I was working at, too.

I have been working at The Children's Place full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Ability to run your store like your own business. Track your KPI's and develop your own business plan to succeed in sales. Generous PTO so you don't burn out. You are expected to work hard and lead by example.

    Cons

Assistants can only work 35 hours a week, Leads (key holders) can only work 20 hours a week. The work load can be heavy with few hours to complete projects and floor moves. Develop your people or you will be covering the store hours of operation yourself, with little assistance from your associates. No payroll to complete floor moves after business hours.

    Advice to Management

Managers are only as good as their people. Offer training hours to develop and on board new Managers. Set them up for success.

I worked at The Children's Place part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very easy /calm job to have and the 30% off discount is amazing. Most holidays are eligible for time 1/2

    Cons

Worked at the children's place for almost 2 years! My raise was 15 CENTS ! At my location we had 8 employees and only 5 employees were eligible to get a raise. Another employee (store leader) got 13cents. Don't expect a raise here even if you are promoted this company throws spare change at their employees. Hours are non existent 1 schedule everyone had less than 10hrs except store manager and assistant manager. Your hours will be cut at any time and if you want more you will have to pick up shifts at other stores.(if they will give it to you) Also for two store locations assistant managers walked in one day to find out they no longer held their title because their store didn't make 1 million. (Even though that wasn't their goal but they did surpass the goal they were given)

    Advice to Management

Better raises 25 cents is better than 15
Make signs and cc application in Spanish
    Full time jobs
    Better cheaper benefits
