I worked at The Children's Place full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

two weeks paid time off per year. Heath benefits, sick days. Great pay for industry/ title. IF you have a supportive district/ district manager, the team will ALWAYS lend a helping hand.

    Cons

No set schedule. Required to work every weekend, unless willing to sacrifice PTO. High part-time employee turnover rate - seasonal, sales associate, and part-time management included!

    Advice to Management

Invest in quality candidates by providing better incoming rate and hours! Hard to keep part-time employees on when they are paid minimum wage for maximum effort, especially when they can go to a leading competitor and receive a better wage.

I worked at The Children's Place part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Seeing children during working hours

    Cons

Store manager would cut back on employee hours because the company's budget was low and only gave two-four hours max per shift twice a week. The company started me at minimum wage and never increased my salary despite of me being an asset to their company (bilingual).

    Advice to Management

    Needs in-store and management organization

I worked at The Children's Place full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working at the Children's Place allowed me to gain some really great experience. I was able to hire some great individuals who have moved up and out of the brand. I was also given the opportunity to sharpen my merchandising skills and product planning when heavy shipments came to the store.

    Cons

The only con that I would say would be during inventory. The store that I worked at, was one of the highest volume driving stores in my district, which also meant that there were more units to count during inventory. Although this was a difficult task to complete, with enough planning, we were able to execute inventory and make it work.

    Advice to Management

Be prepared to work with many different units, from clothing to jewelry and accessories. Lots of fun, but also much work.

I have been working at The Children's Place full-time

    Pros

Pay is good for store manager

    Cons

They do not pay any of the other positions well for the amount of workload that is required of them. If you want loyal associates to stick around then pay them what they are worth.

    I worked at The Children's Place part-time

    Pros

You get to organize kids clothes and who doesn't like kids clothing?!?! It's all so cute

    Cons

You have to deal with hearing children cry because after all it is a kids clothing store, also the children make messes in the store

I have been working at The Children's Place full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great staff that is committed to making our store nice. Amazing store manager who is there for her store.

    Cons

Not enough hours for the workload. Can't keep a district manager, when we have an acting DM that are hard to get a hold of.

    Advice to Management

Have a clear direction for where you want your stores to go, give the labor hours needed to achieve that goal. Pay a little more and staff will want to stick around and do a better job.
