Work place dress code requirements may be more rigid than many corporations but this actually adds to the professionial atmosphere.

    Pros

Great people. Great cause. Sincerely trying to do good in the world.

    Cons

Things move a little slow sometimes. Raises are pretty small, but they do happen annually. International travel is required for many positions, but that can be a plus for some.

    Advice to Management

The managing directors should make goals and performance metrics more explicit. The senior management are all great professionals that I love working with.

    Pros

Professional development is encouraged, supported and expected. The atmosphere is one of serenity, quality, urgency, and efficiency. The work is extremely satisfying and gives a sense of gratitude for both who I work for and my customers.

    Cons

If you are looking for a way to make a lot of money this is not the answer; however the non-monetary and spiritual benefits are outstanding.

    Advice to Management

Continued inspiration from the Lord in the work we perform and the direction we are actively going is greatly appreciated now and in the future.

    Pros

The environment is great, the people are wonderful and I get the opportunity to work on things I care about.

    Cons

I am an intern so the pay isn't great, but the opportunities outweigh the low pay. I would recommend working here.

    Cons

The pay is less than the average for the city. If you are looking for high pay, this is not the place.

    Advice to Management

They do a great job in managing employees. And they also give great feedback. I think they do a great job!

    Pros

you get to work with a group of highly talented inspired individuals. The synergy achieved working in this environment you will not find anywhere else.

    Cons

There is some interesting beaurocracy involved in project management but this is a business. What business doesn't have beaurocracy involved in managing their projects.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! I really appreciated transparency while working there and good working relationships with my managers. My opinions were heard and feedback valued.

I worked at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone that works here is concerned with serving the Lord - not about making the most money. It is nice to work somewhere where everyone has the same values and can really focus on work and not worry about offending others. Policy decisions have all been approved by senior church leaders so there isn't too much pushback. The benefits are great and most people are wonderful to work with.

    Cons

Not everyone is as driven as I would hope them to be. There are some people who work there who are probably replacable, but because they have been there for a certain amount of time they company endures having them even when their work is not up to par. Though probably the right thing to do - it makes it hard on others at times. Working for the Church and the Church are separate.

    Advice to Management

Expect more in performance from entry level employees.
